Chapter 130
Sonia was eagerly waiting for the slap to land smoothly on Dorothy’s face, when suddenly, a man appeared and grabbed Marissa’s wrist, pushing her away. “Dare to touch my sister and see what happens!”
Marissa didn’t stand firm and was pushed out by his force.
Sonia was afraid of being implicated, so she didn’t dare to protect herself for a moment, took two steps back, and watched Marissa hit the counter with her eyes wide open.
She had never been so wronged in her life. Marissa gritted her teeth against the pain in her back and glared fiercely at Dorothy and Rogelio. “How dare you, the Acosta family, treat me like this. I swear I’ll have my brother kick all of you, the Acosta family, out of Dewbury!”
Sonia finally walked up to her and said, “Marissa, are you okay?”
“Dr. Acosta, you went too far. How could you let your brother push Marissa?”
“When she just wanted to hit my sister earlier, are you blind!” Rogelio pointed at Sonia, his face twisted with anger.
Sonia’s face turned pale, the man who couldn’t control his temper reminded her of the fear that person had brought to her.
Dorothy pulled back Rogelio, “Forget it, don’t bother with them.”
“Am I being petty? If I hadn’t come, would you have been beaten by her?” Rogelio was angry, his face red and his neck thick. So what if she’s the daughter of the Lambert family, you still-”
“Rogelio!” Dorothy interrupted him hastily.
Rogelio forcibly held back his words, his hands clenched into fists.
Dorothy placed both hands on Rogelio’s shoulders, making him face her. “I know you are worried about me, but you promised me before that you can’t be so impulsive.”
He felt extremely aggrieved, turned his face away, “You are just pretending to be kind.”
