Chapter 159
Dorothy regained her composure from the shock and sat up slowly, “Does it make a difference whether I speak or not? Ité quite rare to see post her Mr. Lambert.”
Listening to her saying “Mr. Lambert” one after another, Dwayne lifted his eyelids and fixed his gaze on her pale face.
For a moment, he leaned forward and looked at her, “Do you have to talk to me in such a cryptic way?”
“Is it not what you said, to act like strangers outside?”
Dwayne froze her, his jaw muscles twitched slightly, and he didn’t say anything.
In this quietness, she felt extremely uncomfortable and pulled the blanket over her, “If Mr. Lambert has nothing else to do, I’ll rest first.”
She lay down, with her back to him.
I thought Dwayne would leave soon, but he never did.
Dorothy furrowed her brows, even without turning around, she could sense the man’s burning gaze.
What did he want to do after all?
After a while, the man sitting on the companion chair finally stood up.
Dorothy breathed a sigh of relief.
The next second, her back stiffened, and the man squeezed onto the bed, his palm embracing her waist.
Dorothy’s mind went blank for half a minute, and she quickly broke free from his arms, sitting up. “Dwayne, are you out of your mind?”
The man half lay down, supporting his head with his right hand, with a serious attitude, “Can’t I sleep?”
Sleep?
Did he want to sleep here?
Dorothy felt that between the two of them, “one of them must have gone crazy.”
“Mr. Lambert, are you planning to stay here overnight?”
“Yes.”
Dorothy stood there in a daze.
I almost thought she was hearing things.
“Why?” The three words came out of her mouth with a ghostly tone.
When she was sick before, he didn’t even look at her.
And now, is he going to be a bedside companion?
