Seeing Rogelio in such a state, Dorothy felt extremely sorry for him, walked up to him, and supported him from behind.
The bodyguard at this time pulled the two apart, watching as Rogelio was forcibly lifted up, Dorothy panicked and turned to look at Dwayne, “What are you going to do! You said you wouldn’t trouble him as long as Sonia was safe!”
She told Dwayne that Rogelio had kidnapped Sonia and assured him that Rogelio would never actually harm Sonia.
He clearly agreed to it!
Dwayne’s gaze fell on Dorothy’s pale face, devoid of expression, “Did you not see the wound on her forehead? You tell me, is that unharmed?”
Dorothy was stunned.
I just noticed that there was blood on Sonia’s forehead.
“I said I wouldn’t make things difficult for him, but I never said I would let him off.” He turned to Margaret and instructed, “Take him to the police station. Rogelio is suspected of kidnapping, deal with him as you see fit.”
Margaret nodded.
The bodyguard took Rogelio out.
Dwayne grabbed Sonia’s shoulders and led her away. As they passed by Dorothy, he didn’t even glance at her.
Sonia’s eyes flickered and landed on Dorothy.
A cold arc appeared at the corner of the mouth.
The two of them got into the car, and at this moment Margaret turned around and asked, “Mr. Lambert, are we still waiting for Ms. Acosta?”
Dwayne wanted to speak, but Sonia on the side suddenly covered her head and said, “Dwayne, he knocked me out with a wrench. My head hurts now.”
He didn’t think about it anymore and ordered, “Go to the hospital first.”
Anyway, that woman would also take a taxi by herself….
When Dorothy came out, Dwayne’s car had just driven away in the distance.
Because of Sonia, she has been left behind not once or twice, and she is used to it.
Dorothy originally wanted to walk to the roadside to hail a taxi, but she found that the area was too remote, with hardly any cars passing by. She tried to use her phone to book a ride, but no drivers were willing to accept the order.
The weather was hot, and all around was desolate, with scarce a shade to be found.
She walked ten kilometers alone under the scorching sun, her clothes soaked with sweat, her eyes almost unable to see the road ahead.
