Chapter 177
In the ward, Dwayne sat on the companion chair flipping through a magazine absentmindedly, while Sonia drank the soup he brought over, with a smile in her eyes, “Dwayne, thank you for coming to accompany me and for making soup for me. This soup is delicious.”
He raised his eyelids lightly, closed the magazine, “You said you liked the fresh soup from Echo Nightclub, I packed it for you.”
Sonia’s smile froze for a moment. Although the soup was not cooked by him personally, at least he still remembered what she liked to drink. “I didn’t expect you to remember.”
He nodded faintly and said, “This incident must have startled you.”
“With you by my side, I am not afraid.”
At this moment, Dorothy standing outside the door heard the conversation, and thinking about Rogelio’s experience, her face darkened inch by inch, gloomy.
The emotions had almost reached the point of explosion.
She pushed open the ward door.
Sonia saw her, and the smile on her face suddenly froze.
Dwayne sat in the bright light, silently staring at Dorothy.
“Dr. Acosta, how come you’re here…” Sonia forced a smile.
Dorothy didn’t say anything, walked to the bedside table, picked up the unfinished soup, and turned to splash it on her face.
Dwayne got up and grabbed her wrist, locking eyes with her face, his expression extremely dark, “Dorothy!”
Sonia was first stunned, then gradually came to her senses, looking at the sticky soup on her face and body, and exclaimed in despair, “Dorothy, you’re crazy!”
Dorothy ignored Sonia, staring at Dwayne with a look of resentment and pain, “What, you feel sorry for her because I splashed her?”
Capturing the hatred in her eyes, Dwayne frowned, a hint of complexity crossing his expression, “What’s the matter, let’s talk outside.”
“I refused.”
