Dorothy spread out the quilt, without changing her expression, and mumbled, “I couldn’t sleep well during my period, afraid of disturbing you.”
Dwayne nodded, “Not taking a bath?”
“Oh, I washed it now.”
Dorothy picked up the ready pajamas and nervously entered the bathroom.
In the years since she married Dwayne, she has never gotten into the habit of changing clothes in front of him, even though they share the same roof and taking a shower under the same roof still makes her feel uncomfortable.
After taking a leisurely shower, I thought Dwayne had already gone to bed, but instead I saw him lazily sitting at the head of the bed smoking a cigarette.
Dorothy walked over to the futon in her pajamas and was about to lie down when Dwayne stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray, “Come up here and sleep.”
She subconsciously clenched her hand, “No need, I’m fine sleeping here.”
He suddenly got up and swept Dorothy off her feet.
She was scared, “Dwayne, I said I wasn’t feeling well…”
The man put her on the bed, but did not withdraw, noticing that she was scared, his eyes dimmed slightly, “What do you think I’m going to do to you?”
Dorothy pursed her lips in silence.
He turned to one side and rolled over, facing away from her, “I just don’t want the servants to come in tomorrow and see us sleeping in separate rooms and tell Grandma.”
Dorothy said, ‘
Who knew if his words were true or false? Not to mention, what about his behavior in the clothing store in the afternoon?
Fortunately, Dwayne didn’t want to touch her either.
The next day, Dorothy went downstairs with Dwayne.
