After watching the excitement, the onlookers gradually dispersed, and the courtyard became quiet again.
Dorothy broke free from Dwayne’s grasp and approached Gianna. “Everyone has left. You don’t need to pretend anymore, Dwayne. You are not welcome here.”
Dwayne looked down at the lingering warmth on his fingertips, his eyes dark and brooding for a moment, “I can leave, but he has to leave too.”
Tyrell just smiled and did not give any response.
“Tyrell was a guest of our family, the Acosta family, and you had no right to interfere with his comings and goings.”
“Dorothy,” Dwayne lifted his eyelids, fixed on her face, his gaze intense, only calling her name, but without further words.
Mr. Lambert, Tyrell was invited by me, Gianna stood in front of Dorothy, looking sad, sorrowful, and resentful, “During the days of Dottie’s father’s funeral, Tyrell was helping out. I invited him to have a meal at home to repay this kindness.”
“Mr. Lambert, in consideration of Dottie’s late father, please stop making things difficult for us, the Acosta family. I am the only one left in the Acosta family. Do you still want me?”
Dwayne felt a heavy pressure in his chest, his face tense.
For a while, he relaxed his brows and spoke gently, “Mother–in–law, I am very sorry about what happened to father–in–law. I will investigate it thoroughly.”
“Please go ahead.”
Gianna entered the house, with Dorothy following closely behind.
He never gave him a glance from start to finish.
