Dorothy’s steps suddenly paused. She clutched her hands tightly.[]
Seeing she didn’t turn back, Dwayne lightly sneered, “Don’t think about looking for Mr. Calhoun’s help. The Calhoun family couldn’t interfere in my affairs.“]
Dorothy completely broke down. Her voice became hoarse, choking so much she could hardly speak, “Dwayne, what do you really want?“[]
Dwayne threw Tyrell’s jacket into the trash can, took off his suit jacket, and walked straight toward her.[]
Dorothy was puzzled.]
The next moment, the man’s jacket covered her head.[]
Dwayne grabbed her by the shoulders. Despite her resistance, he forcibly pulled her back into the car.[]
In the driver’s seat, Margaret turned her head and nodded politely. “Hi, Ms. Acosta.”
Dorothy felt dazed, and then she quickly turned her gaze out the car window. She looked numb and empty.
Dwayne glanced at Dorothy, then let Margaret drive.[]
The car arrived at Tranquility Apartments, and Dorothy quickly got out, running straight into the building.
Dwayne didn’t rush to get out of the car, instructing Margaret, “Go check what happened tonight.”
