Dwayne looked up and frowned. “Were you discharged?“[]

“Yes. The doctor said I was all good and only needed to rest for a few days.” Sonia walked to Dwayne. Seeing him sit on the chair and pick up his phone, she immediately changed the topic. “Brenden hasn’t seen you for a while. Dwayne, let’s have lunch together, shall we?“[]

Dwayne didn’t check his recent calls but only checked the group chat from work. Then, he nodded. “Sure.“]

Sonia was delighted.

After Dorothy hung up, she soon went to the restaurant to meet Tyrell.[]

Tyrell had guessed the reason and raised his eyebrows. “No need. It’s just a jacket. I thought you wouldn’t call. Jamal asked me to take care of you, and I’m glad I didn’t fail him.”
