Rogelio just never knew how biased his parents could be.
“Dorothy, what’s wrong with you? Did the soup not agree with you?”
She collected her thoughts, shook her head with a smile, picked up the spoon and tasted the soup, “It’s delicious.”
Dwayne stood outside the door, about to knock, when he saw a heartwarming scene of two siblings inside.
Dorothy was drinking soup on the side, while Rogelio chattered away with some gossip, making her laugh a few times.
Her joyful smile on her face was a relaxation and ease that had never been seen in front of him.
Dwayne’s expression suddenly darkened, he withdrew his hand and turned to leave.
In the evening, Dorothy took Rogelio back home.
Rogelio got off the car, scratching his head, “Dorothy, aren’t you coming back to visit mom and dad?”
She paused for half a second, just smiled and said, “I feel relieved with you taking care of me, Mom and Dad.”
Without waiting for Rogelio to say anything, she drove away.
When Gianna walked out of the yard, the car had already driven far away and was nowhere to be seen.
