"Yes."
Rupert's response sent a wave of envy in Bridget's direction.
It seemed the mysterious jewel was indeed Bridget's birthday present.
Under the flash of cameras, Bridget's cheeks flushed with color.
The reporter shifted the microphone towards her. "Ms. Simpson, are you confident in your own jewelry design?"
Though the question was directed at Bridget, she seized the moment to flaunt her romance.
Blinking softly, she said with tender affection, "With Rupert's support, I'm absolutely confident. This piece, inspired by the camellia, was designed with great care. Please, take lots of photos later."
As she finished speaking, a stir ran through the crowd on the red carpet.
Someone shouted, "Bailey's arrived."
Bridget immediately lifted her chin, ready to bask in the adoration and praise.
Bailey made an extravagant entrance in an emerald green satin mermaid dress, her figure highlighted to perfection.
But to everyone’s surprise, she wasn't wearing Bridget's camellia-inspired necklace. Instead, she wore Sylvia's pearl set, which added a touch of softness to her otherwise bold allure.
What surprised the crowd even more was Bailey clutching a dog leash, with a Chihuahua prancing at her side.
The crowd gasped, their eyes immediately drawn to the necklace adorning the dog's neck.
The camellia necklace!
Wasn't that Bridget's design?
How did it end up as a dog leash?
Bailey stopped and lifted her pet, making sure the necklace was clearly visible to the cameras.
Bridget's face turned green; no amount of beauty filters could save her expression.
A nosy reporter pointed at the dog's necklace and asked, "Bailey, is this necklace designed by Ms. Simpson?"
"Yes," Bailey replied, waving the dog's paw at Bridget. "What's the matter? Can't Ms. Simpson recognize her own work?"
Bridget, having already hyped up her design, could not deny it and managed a stiff smile in acknowledgment.
