Evershining Stars, Everlasting Love novel Chapter 14

Vince took me to the wine party.

We walked along the red carpet, walked pass the arch that made by flowers, then walked across the backyard that decorated as a beautiful garden. We came to the huge Villa Hall of Ouyang's house, which was decorated luxuriously and was very lively.

Vince and I arrived late. But as soon as we arrived, we attracted people’s attention. I could feel the love and the affection in the eyes of the woman at the reception. I pursed my lips and chuckled, quietly leaned against Vince’s ear and jokingly said, “Your luck in love tonight seems to be very prosperous.”

“It’s always been like this.” He turned his face and gave me a confident smile.

Yes, Vince was a man full of charm. Until now, I even felt that I was living in a dream. Would such an excellent man belong to me forever?

In fact, I had thought about the answer. I couldn’t even conquer a man like Jerry, let alone Vince, who was hundreds of times better than Jerry.

And I saw him in the crowd as well.

Jerry brought Duo Lian to the reception. Duo's belly was bigger than last time when I saw her. Her light pink fluffy dress made her look chubbier.

She was not tall, and she smiled at me with happiness, while leaning on Jerry’s arm.

I felt so complicated. It was not because I was unhappy while seeing this, but because I thought I shouldn’t come to such a part for the first place. If someone I knew saw me and asked me about this, I had no idea how to explain it.

Vince’s big hand suddenly covered my hand. I was stunned and suddenly looked back at him. He tilted his head to me and whispered, “You have to let go the past.”

“Am I the kind of woman that cannot let go?” I pursed my lips, kept a beautiful and decent smile. I answered softly. I am Nance, I am noble and aloof. Although my family had no strong background, my temperament was not inferior to anyone.

“That’s good then.” He stopped, took a glass of wine from the waiter’s plate and handed it over to me. I didn’t take it and said, “I don’t want to drink.”

“Okay.” Vince, holding a goblet, gently shook the red wine and sipped it. Just as he was about to talk to me, an acquaintance came over.
