I turned around slowly, looking sadly at Zhiyu Yin. My lips were stiff because of freezing. I pursed my lips, my voice a little hoarse as I questioned, “Zhiyu, do you really love me?”

“Sure.” He looked at me with sincere eyes after answering it simply and clearly.

“Really?” I sneered and asked again, “How much?”

“Always. I changed myself for you and I’d do anything for you. Nance Mo, do you still doubt my love for you?” Zhiyu’ s eyes flickered, as if he had realized something.

I had always thought that he was honest and I never thought about how much the years would destroy a person’s mind.

I knew I was tired and could spend my rest of days with him, but I didn’t think it would be Zhiyu who drove me to this state, the man who kept saying he loved me.

“You do love me very much indeed!” I laughed in loneliness, and in an instant, I became sullen and yelled, “Why did you arrange a marriage for me with no sex?”

He was startled by my question, looking at me in surprise. Then he adjusted himself as fast as he could and smiled, pretending not to understand what I was saying, “Nance, what are you talking about? Why can’t I

understand?”

Zhiyu clamped down on my arms and said in panic, “I’m sorry. I didn’t have the confidence to pursue you, so I hired Jerry. I made an agreement with him that he couldn’t touch you. After five years, I’ll give him thirty-five percent of the company’ s shares.”

“Why did you do that?” I mocked him growling in pain and my throat was in pain. I stared at him, shaking.

“I know you can’t accept my obese appearance, so I made up my mind to change. I don’t know how long do I need to be better, so I made an agreement with Jerry for five years. Nance, believe me, I used such a stupid way to trap you because I love you so much that I was afraid that you would fall in love with someone else while I was changing.”

Fearing that I would fall in love with someone else, so he set a cage for my marriage, which was the most absurd explanation I had ever heard in the whole world. I could feel his horror, which turned out that he was so unpredictable and incomprehensible.
