Every Breath You Take novel Chapter 19

The next morning, Monica appeared in Roland Wang's office wearing black-framed glasses and old-fashioned clothes. Roland Wang looked at her from top to bottom for a while. "Moni, you waste such a good figure of you!"

Monica ignored him and made him tea and put it on his desk as usual. Then she began to look at the Roland Wang's work schedule of today.

Roland Wang squinted his eyes and took a sip of tea. He exhaled a long breath and said, "I always think the tea you made is the best. There's a saying that it feels like three years after a day's separation. Without seeing you for two days. I can't do this job anymore."

Monica lowered her head and looked down, but did not say anything. Roland Wang talked to himself for a long time, but he did not get her answer. He also felt bored, so he looked down at the document in front of him.

It was finally noon, and it was Roland Wang's lunchtime. He used to ignore her, but today he changed the rule and ordered Monica to have lunch with him.

Monica didn't want to eat with him at all, but there was no reason to object. Roland Wang took her to XM Restaurant, which used to be the place where she and Quarmy Huo often came to eat.

Seeing this familiar yet strange place, Monica felt uneasy, but she couldn't let Roland Wang change to another one, so she suppressed the uncomfortable feeling and went into the restaurant with Roland Wang.

Roland Wang pulled out a chair for her very gentlemanly. When she sat down, he told her, "It's said that the dishes in this restaurant are the best in Jiang City till now. I've eaten them that day and they tasted good, so I brought you here to have a taste."

Monica didn't say anything. The dishes cooked by the chef of XM Restaurant were indeed top-notch. After they sat down, Roland Wang ordered the specialty dishes of XM Restaurant, French fried goose liver, French snail, black pepper red wine steak. As soon as he ordered the meal, his phone rang. Fie took the phone and answered it. Monica felt much more comfortable without the annoying Roland Wang by her side.
