Chapter 437 Bentley’s Worst Moment

Bentley found shelter in the closed shop by the roadside to avoid the rain.

He estimated the distance between the Callis‘ home and the hotel.

In the end, Bentley discovered that it would take a similar time to go to each side.

Bentley made up his mind and decisively rushed into the rain. He then ran in the heavy rain late at night.

An hour later, he had yet to arrive at the Callis‘ home.

Before coming out, Bentley checked the navigation twice, but it was too dark. Bentley ran in the direction he remembered. He then went wrong and got lost.

At 3 a.m., there were no cars or people on the street.

Bentley couldn’t go back to the hotel or find the Callis‘ house.

He was alone in the heavy rain, like a lonely and pitiful man.

Bentley meant to get Breenda’s sympathy, but he was truly reduced to a miserable state.

The next morning, it was sunny and peaceful in Salt Lake City.

After Sherlyn finished her breakfast, she called Ronian nervously.

The moment the call connected, before Sherlyn could say anything, Ronian said, “You finally came through.”

Sherlyn took a deep breath. “Yes, I am willing to go back.”

Ronian chuckled. He seemed to be in a good mood. “It’s good that you’ve come through. Send me the address later. I’ll get the driver to pick you up.”

“Don’t bother. Russell will drive me there.”

On the other side of the line, Ronian’s voice was cold. “You are a member of the Felton family. Naturally, you will take

our family’s car. Don’t take Russell’s car.”

Sherlyn was puzzled. “Why? Russell is my boyfriend. It’s only right for him to send me back.”

Ronian was silent for a while, but he insisted. “Sherlyn, be good. I will get the driver to pick you up.”

Sherlyn was lost for words.

She didn’t say anything.

Sherlyn was in a daze when Russell took away the phone.

“Mr. Felton, if I send Sherlyn back, no one dares to talk behind us. Sherlyn is a big star. With my influence in the entertainment industry, even if we are photographed, no one dares to release the news.”

Russell’s low and deep voice became even colder. “Mr. Felton, are you looking down on me? Or maybe you are looking down on the McGraw family.”

“Of course not,” Ronian sneered.

In the end, Ronian compromised and allowed Russell to send Sherlyn to the Felton’s house.

As the call ended, Sherlyn and Russell had ugly expressions.

Russell said, “Ronian is domineering. He bullies the weak and fears the strong. Not to be led around by the nose while you are with him.

“But don’t be too tough. It’s best to use both hard and soft tactics. After all, Ronian is the person in power of the Felton family. He has the final say in the matters of the Felton family. Viola and I can’t get involved in the Felton family.”

Just as Russell finished speaking, he caught a glimpse of Sherlyn’s thoughtful expression and suddenly realized something.

“Umm… Is it inappropriate for me to speak ill of your second brother?”

Sherlyn was amused by Russell’s reaction. “Regardless of whether it is appropriate or not, you have said it. Can you take back your words?”

“That’s true.” Russell was slightly embarrassed, but soon he became serious. “But I know that you don’t mind it.”

Sherlyn pursed her lips and smiled sweetly, “No, I don’t.”

After they packed up a few pieces of luggage, they left the villa side by side and got into the car to the Felton’s place.

The closer they were to the Felton’s home, the more uneasy Russell felt.

“Sherlyn, if you want to investigate what happened on the top floor, take it slow. You have gone up once, and Ronian will be on guard. You should behave yourself for a few days and wait for him to let down his guard before making plans.”

Russell said that her mom was gentle and noble, and her temperament was excellent. Sherlyn was curious.

Sherlyn was in high spirits and walked briskly into the villa.

Ronian stood on the stone road into the garden, staring at Sherlyn’s slender back with a grim expression.

In Washington…

The rain in the evening was heavy, and after a few hours of exposure, Bentley finally found a place where he could barely avoid the rain. He curled up for another two hours in the cold wind.

It wasn’t until dawn that Bentley found a passerby and asked how to get to the Callis‘ home.

The passer–by was stunned when he saw that Bentley was soaked through.

As handsome as Bentley was, although he was drenched through, it did not affect his image. He even appeared sexier in wet clothes.

Along the way, Bentley drew all people’s attention.

He was extremely upset. He never thought that his trip to Washington would be such a terrible experience.

After half an hour, Bentley finally arrived at the entrance of the Callis‘ home.

When a bodyguard saw Bentley, he was shocked. “Sir, who are you?”

Bentley looked up coldly. “I’m from the McGraw family in Salt Lake City. I want to see Mr. Callis.”

“Mr. McGraw?” The bodyguard looked Bentley up and down, shocked by Bentley’s messy state and noble temperament. The bodyguard immediately went to report.

The Callis family was having breakfast in the dining room when Bentley suddenly came to visit. Joans and Audrey put down their forks and went out to greet Bentley personally.

Breenda thought that someone was pretending to be Bentley and ignored it.

Breenda had chased after Bentley for more than a year. But Breenda was so cold, and she didn’t want to continue.

Breenda continued to eat. Out of the corner of her eyes, she saw her parents taking a tall figure in.

The moment Breenda looked up, she was astonished.
