Ex-Husband’s Regret: Barren Mommy Has Quadruplets novel Chapter 580

Chapter 580 No Matter How Well He Treated Her, It Was Not Enough

As they were leaving the White Family’s house, Marcie enthusiastically accompanied them to the door and repeatedly reminded them, “Aletta, come and visit me again next time! Bring the kids along too, I haven’t met Lucas and Lyla yet!”

“Sure!”

Aletta readily agreed and smiled at her. “Marcie, you should go inside quickly. It’s chilly outside, be careful not to catch a cold.”

“Okay.”

Marcie waved her hand but insisted on seeing them off.

back

Aletta couldn’t help but exclaim on the way back, “Marcie is so kind. She gives off such a warm feeling…

Truly a gentle person!

Jason paused upon hearing that and instinctively said, “I’m sorry, Jenny has always caused you a lot of unpleasant experiences.”

The tone was mixed with apologies.

Aletta didn’t expect her casual exclamation would make him think of this.

Aletta tilted her head and gave him a reassuring smile, saying, “It’s alright, I don’t mind. I just mentioned it casually, so don’t overthink it! I really like Marcie. Next time, we should come again and bring her some gifts!”

Jason replied as he held her hand in his palm, gently squeezing it.

He couldn’t help but feel heartache.

At the Hills Family, Jenny treated her coldly. And Bonnie never liked her, and even Luke showed completely blatant favoritism.

Jason suddenly felt that no matter how well he treated her, it wasn’t enough…

Aletta sensed his emotions and smiled, “Don’t worry, I’m fine. Besides, I’m great now!

Not only do I have my grandparents, Walt. Old Mr. Hill, Jock, and the others. Most importantly, you’re by my side…”

As she said this, she rested her head on Jason’s shoulder, looking fulfilled. “I’m already satisfied!”

Jason immediately embraced her waist and smiled faintly. “Yes, you have me! And you have them!’

The two of them nestled together, savoring the warmth between them.

Later in the evening, as they arrived home. The children came running in their little slippers, making a ‘pitter-patter’ sound. “You’re back!”

Aletta smiled and nodded, crouching down to kiss them. And then she asked, “Did you have a good dinner?”

The children were thrilled to be kissed by Aletta.

Lyla, with a cute little pout, said sweetly, “Yes!”

She started counting on her fingers, listing the dishes she had eaten

tonight. “I had sweet and sour spare ribs, fish, prawns… Well, a lot of dishes. They were so delicious!”

Upon hearing this, Aletta couldn’t help but laugh. “Really? Let me feel it, did you truly eat a lot.

”

Upon saying that, she gently touched Lyla’s belly

Lyla immediately puffed out her little tummy.

It was indeed round and full, a clear sign that she had eaten to her heart’s content.

Aletta raised her eyebrows and immediately said. “Go and spend some time in the yard, or else you might have indigestion later and have trouble falling asleep.”

Lyla nodded and cheerfully replied, “Okay!”

After saying that, she ran off to play with Nina and Otto.

When watching the lively children playing outside. Aletta felt more at ease in her heart, and she joined them in their fun.

As for Jason, he went to study to deal with some work matters.

At 9:30 PM, Aletta looked at the time and felt it was about time to urge the children to bed.

Upon hearing that, Lyla went over and hugged Aletta, pleading, “Can you tell us a bedtime story tonight, Aletta? It’s been so long, and I want to hear one!”

The rest nodded in agreement, saying, “It’s been a long time since.

Aletta put us to bed. Every night, it’s Jason who takes up all of Aletta’s attention…”

As they spoke, there was a bit of jealousy in their voices.

Aletta couldn’t help but smile and nod, saying, “Alright, let’s go. Tonight, I belong to you guys. I’ll tell you guys a bedtime story.”

They immediately cheered in excitement.

After taking their baths, they grabbed their little pillows. And ran to the master bedroom, trying to secure a spot close to Aletta. Each of them snuggled up tightly next to her.

In the middle of the night, Jason finished his tasks and returned to the room with his coat.

As he opened the door, he realized that his sleeping spot was completely occupied, leaving no space for him.

On the bed, the children had their heads exposed. And they snuggled closely to Aletta and slept soundly.

Jason instinctively tiptoed into the room, mindful of his steps.

The warm yellow light casts a soft glow, creating a cozy ambiance. The sight of the five peaceful and asleep faces, surrounded by a warm halo of light. It was heartwarming, making one reluctant to disturb such a

scene.

Jason couldn’t help but take out his phone and capture the moment, setting it as his phone’s wallpaper.

As he looked at the photo, his heart felt as though it was filled with something indescribable.

Then, with gentle and careful movements. Jason lifted the covers and carried each of the children back to their rooms.

Aletta was in a groggy state, sensing something vague. And she

instinctively reached out to touch the space beside her, but it was empty.

She couldn’t help but open her eyes.

Where were the children?

Jason was sitting by the edge of the bed, softly informing her, “I took the children back to their rooms!”

“Well? I see…..”

With a casual response, Aletta tilted her body. And then she leaned into Jason’s embrace.

Her tone was soft as she asked, “Is it very late? Why were you busy

until now?”

Jason naturally held her closer and replied in a low voice, “There’s a project recently that’s been quite troublesome. And it requires my attention, so I’ve been busy for a while.”

As he spoke, he looked at the sleepy and adorable figure in his arms, feeling his heart melt.
