Expert Down The Mountain Chapter 22
The moment Cyrus entered Meeting Room 3, most of the people paid attention to him. However, the look they gave him was strange. “Who are you?” A man looked at him arrogantly. “I’m Cyrus Salazar, the assistant team leader of Team Four. Mr. Long is on leave today. I’m here today on his behalf,” Cyrus said. “Team Four?” The man smiled contemptuously, “Mr. Salazar, don’t you think Team Four is such a waste of space? The company needs to pay for the mineral water, you know?” The others lowered their heads and laughed unabashedly when they heard this. Mr. Flores frowned. He quickly relaxed. “Mr. Blanke is in charge of the company’s finances. I understand that you want to save the company’s money. “But could it be that our company’s funds are so tight that you need to care about the cost of one mineral bottle?”
The chief financial officer snorted. “I just don’t want to waste our resources! Mr. Salazar, don’t be out of line!”
Mr. Flores smiled and did not reply. He then talked to Cyrus. “Quick, take a seat, Mr. Salazar.” Cyrus was poised and smiled at him gratefully before he sat down. A tall figure emerged. Cyrus could not help but turn to look.
Korah instantly saw Cyrus when she entered the meeting room. She frowned. He was the last thing that she wanted to see.
“Since everyone is here, let’s start.”
Korah’s clear, cold voice resounded in the meeting room. “All departments should actively operate in the near future, and make sure your projects are beyond reproach. “You should also keep an eye on the ongoing projects. Don’t make any mistakes, be especially careful of safety conditions! “Also, those in the Project Department, quickly complete the projects that have not been connected before.” A silence followed. Korah was a practical person. She had done her homework. After each order was issued, the head of each department would not have any objections. Cyrus noticed a slight change in Korah’s outlook. She acted differently when she was at the company compared to when she was at home. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Blanke suddenly raised his hand. “Ms. Gardner, the fund for the Deluxe Parkside Project has never been recovered. May I know
how you want to rectify this issue?”.
Korah frowned a little and looked at Alfred Cook, the Project Department’s team leader for Team One. “What is going on, Mr. Cook?” The Deluxe Parkside Project was the first project she was responsible for when she joined the company after she graduated. Alfred’s expression changed and he smiled bitterly. “Ms. Gardner, the team leader in charge of quality inspection, Mr. Zuniga, said that there was a problem with the quality of the project…” The expressions of many people in the meeting room changed, and then they all looked at Korah.
“Nonsense!” Korah’s expression turned sour. “I have been following up with the Deluxe Parkside Project from the start. We never cut any corners throughout the whole project!”
Stefano then said sarcastically, “Ms. Gardner, you’re the one who’s responsible for the project. You better think of a solution to rectify this issue.
“Without Mr. Zuniga’s quality inspection report, we would lose the balance payment of twenty million dollars.”
