Chapter 109 Went to Find Rachel

“How long will it take?” I was impatient, not having much patience.

“Half an hour!” A deep, magnetic voice sounded from behind.

Alexander and I turned around together to look back. Seeing the man behind us, I frowned and couldn’t help but exclaim, “William!”

Hearing me call his name directly, William’s eyebrows raised, a helpless smile appearing on his handsome face that bore a striking resemblance to Walter’s. “Tabatha,” he said, “this is the first time you’ve called me by my name so directly.”

Realizing that my previous reaction was somewhat rude, I quickly changed my address and said, “Brother, I’m sorry, just now…”

“It’s fine, it’s rare for you to address me like this, quite refreshing.” William spoke, smiling gently. “What happened? Walter just went in to apply medicine, he won’t be out for a while. If there’s anything, you can talk to me.”

Looking at the face in front of me, which resembled Walter by about seventy to eighty percent, I was momentarily at a loss for words. William was the son of the Hinton family’s second uncle, only a few months older than Walter. Over the years, he had been managing the Hinton family’s business abroad, only returning home for a few days during holidays or elder’s birthday celebrations.

This time it was Carley’s birthday feast, so, he came back for the second time.

Seeing me silent for a long time, he gave a faint smile, “What’s wrong? Is it inconvenient to talk?”

I shook my head slightly, took a breath and said, “No, it’s just that I said, big brother might not be able to help either.”

He raised an eyebrow, his thin lips curling up, “That’s true, but Walter just went in, I’m afraid it might take a while, you might have to wait.”

I nodded, taking a slight breath.

Looking at Alexander, he said, “You go to the Conner Group, find. Cory, ask him to send someone to the southern district to inquire about any casinos, especially the more active ones recently, preferably high- end ones.”

Alexander furrowed his brows, “What happened? Suddenly thought of the casino?”

I told him about the possibility that Rachel might have been taken away by Henry. He was taken aback and said in surprise, “Why are you only telling me this now? How long has it been?”

So many things happened last night, many of which, even I didn’t expect.

He didn’t say anything more to me either, and hurriedly turned around to leave the hospital.

I stood there, stunned, a sharp pain in my chest. I had never imagined that Ashley would set such a big trap for me, let alone that I would lose control of my emotions and lose my own child.

At this point, all I hoped for was that Rachel wouldn’t get into any more trouble. Otherwise, I really wouldn’t know what to do.

“Tabatha?” William looked at me, lowering his voice to speak.

I snapped back to reality, somewhat ungracefully wiping away my tears, and looked at him, asking, “Big brother, what… what happened?”

He paused, looking at me and said, “Are you looking for Henry?”

I nodded, looking at him with some confusion, and asked, “Do you know Henry?”

William nodded slightly and smiled, “A few years ago, the Hinton Group took over several development projects in River City. I had some contact with him, so you could say we know each other. When I heard you mention looking for a casino earlier, I do know a place in the south. However, it’s a closed-off area, not accessible to ordinary people. Only those with status can get in.”

Hearing this, I was taken aback and quickly looked at him, saying, “Then, can you tell me the address?”

He hesitated for a moment, looking at me and said, “Well, I’ll take you there, maybe I can help.”

I was somewhat surprised, I didn’t expect him to take action. After all, having been married to Walter for two years, the number of times I had seen William could be counted on one hand, and the time we had to chat was even less. We had hardly ever had a private conversation, apart from greetings and polite inquiries, we basically had no other interaction.

He offered to help, which surprised me.

After a moment of hesitation, I looked at him and said, “I’m not holding up your other things, am I?”
