Chapter 122 Going to Chesterburg 

He smiled faintly, nodding, “Don’t worry, the police in Chesterburg have basically located the whereabouts of Thomas and Ryan. Once it’s confirmed with Ezra tonight, our people will immediately order the arrest of Thomas and Ryan.” 

I responded affirmatively, thought of Owen, and asked, “Will Owen also be on the ship tonight?” 

Lucas nodded, “Hmm, he had already gone to Chesterburg a couple of days ago. Our people have been following him, but we haven’t ordered an arrest yet, for fear of alerting the enemy.” 

I nodded, he had told me about this before. 

After some thought, I said, “Regarding Ezra, you guys don’t have enough evidence. Even if you find him, you can’t arrest him!”

Upon leaving the airport, Lucas led me to a black sedan.

As night fell, the ship slowly sailed out to sea. The party was attended by many people, mostly wealthy individuals from all over the world. As long as one had money and ability, they could enter. 

Lucas and I entered the cabin, looking at the crowd of people packed inside. I couldn’t help but feel a headache coming on as I said to him, “With so many people, it’s simply impossible for us to find anyone.” 

Lucas smiled and handed me two tickets, saying, “We’re not here to look for someone.” 

I was confused, “If we’re not looking here, then why did we come here?” 

He gave a faint smile, “Once the money is out, it’s natural to come here for a visit, to broaden one’s horizons.” Saying this, he gestured to one side. 

After his reminder, I noticed that the people around were a mixed bag. There were quite a few slot machines and some game machines I had never seen before in the cabin. There were also things for sale, not only some beverages and pastries, but also some strange candies, basically things I had never seen before.

I was surprised at the high price of the candy, and couldn’t help but take a few more glances. Lucas returned the candy to the thin man, saying out loud, “She doesn’t need it.” 

Seeing the stern look on Lucas’s face, the man couldn’t help but shrink back, but he did leave with the candy. 

I didn’t understand, looking at Lucas, I asked, “What is that? Why is it so expensive?” 

A box for thirty-five thousand, it didn’t seem like anything luxurious. 

Lucas glanced over and said, “It’s not any kind of candy, just stimulants under a different name. Those gambling machines and candies are probably all used to exploit some down-and-out tycoons.” 

I listened in confusion, questioning, “A down-and-out tycoon?” 

“Hmm!” Lucas nodded, took a look around, and then led me towards the stairs in the cabin, saying as we walked, “There are quite a few wealthy people inland who have been led to ruin in this place, their families destroyed and their lives ruined. Yet they are unwilling to continue in such a state of destitution, so they take the little money they have left and come to this chaotic place to try their luck.” 

I roughly understood some of it and followed him all the way up to the fifth floor. The ship was enormous, and the interior was exceptionally luxurious. To get to the fifth floor, one needed a lot of money to enter the cabin. After all, wealthy people didn’t want to enjoy their unique pleasures in overly crowded places.
