I massaged my forehead and resisted the urge to roll my eyes. These two had quite the ‘ understanding‘ between them. 

I looked at them with a forced smile and said, “Both of you should go. I’m much better now, really.” I really wanted to say that if it were not so late, I would have loved to go home. 

My words seemed to fall on deaf ears as neither of them paid any attention to my suggestion. Idris had already cleaned up the empty food container he brought, throwing it in the trash, and then casually sat down on a nearby chair. He looked like he had no intention of leaving anytime soon. 

As for Charlie, he did not need to find a seat. This man had his own wheelchair and casually pulled up the blanket for me, saying, “It’s okay, sleep comfortably. I won’t disturb you.”
