“Mr. Cameron, why did you suddenly want to bring in an external finance team to check the financial status of the Cameron Group? Our company’s finance team is top–notch!”

“Exactly, I had several contracts that hadn’t been paid yet. If they were investigating me now, was I supposed to make up for the payments of those contracts?”

“This is making a mountain out of a molehill. For so many years, the Cameron Group’s finance department has never made a mistake. Now, letting an external team come in to investigate clearly shows a lack of trust in our own finance department. Can they still work as diligently as before in the future!?”

Hearing mostly voices of opposition, Sean didn’t get angry. He said with a smile, “The purpose of bringing in someone to investigate is to prevent anyone from embezzling. If any member of the finance team has objections, they can hand in their resignation. I absolutely won’t hold them back.”

After speaking, Sean stood up and left directly.

Back in the office, the secretary hesitated before saying, “Mr. Cameron, I think you shouldn’t have mentioned having someone check the financial status of the Cameron Group in the meeting room.”

Wasn’t this giving those who were scheming behind the scenes time to delay and remedy?

Sean chuckled and said, “I said it on purpose.” 

The secretary looked puzzled, “Why?” 

“The Cameron Group as it stands now, couldn’t withstand too much turmoil. I deliberately mentioned this issue in the meeting today, to give them time to resolve the previous financial issues. Once the new financial team enters the

Cameron Group, I will replace the original financial team.”

Upon hearing this, the secretary’s eyes were filled with shock, she couldn’t help but exclaim, “Mr. Cameron, are you planning to fire, the entire finance department?!” 

“Ah, the financial issues of the Cameron Group, I had noticed them a long time ago, but I just didn’t have the energy to deal with them. Now that I have the opportunity, I naturally can’t let it pass.”

“Mr. Cameron, I knew what to do.”

Sean nodded, “Hmm, you go to work. Keep this matter a secret from others for now.””

After the secretary left, Sean made a call to Maxim.

“Mr. Yoder, thank you for finding me a lawyer. If you’re free tonight, come back for dinner with Briana.”

“Alright, I went to tell Briana!”

After hanging up the phone, the corners of Maxim’s originally cold mouth couldn’t help but lift slightly.

When Rayan knocked and walked in, what he saw was Maxim with a smile on his face, and he couldn’t help but pause in his steps.

“Mr. Yoder, what made you so happy?” 

Following past conventions, Maxim was so happy, it must have been related to Briana Cameron.

“No need, I’ve been lying in the hospital for too long recently. I feel that work suits me better.”
