Briana Cameron felt that her attitude was somewhat

inappropriate and was about to speak when the door to the ward was suddenly pushed open.

Astrid walked in holding a bouquet of flowers, a flash of surprise and delight in her eyes when she saw that Briana Cameron was awake.

“Briana, were you awake?!”

“Mm–hmm.”

Seeing Astrid, Gemma breathed a sigh of relief and stood up, saying, “I’m going to make some soup for Briana, you stay here and chat with her.”

After Gemma left, Astrid placed the flowers on the table before she went to sit by the bedside.
