Chapter 176
“Briana, I hadn’t said what it was yet.”
Briana pursed her lips slightly and said, “Whatever it is, I probably won’t be able to help. You should find someone else, Mr. Landry.”
She divorced Maxim and had no intention of having any involvement with his circle again.
The two of them walked into the villa, and after closing the door, Madeline couldn’t help but make a sarcastic comment.
“This Brycen, like a clingy Band–Aid, is so annoying! He came to me several times today, constantly trying to make me the spokesperson for his company’s new product! If it wasn’t for the fact that I can’t afford to provoke him, I would have already chased him away with a pitchfork!”
When Briana heard Madeline describe Brycen as a “stick–in–the–mud.” she couldn’t help but laugh.
Brycen had a good–looking face and often changed girlfriends. He boasted about being able to navigate through a myriad of flowers without getting a single leaf on him. If he knew that he was being despised by Madeline like this, I wonder what expression he would have.
“It doesn’t take much time to shoot endorsements, why not take the money that comes to your door for free? Consider it as adding bricks and tiles to your pension.”
Madeline looked at her with a sigh, “Do you know what his company’s new product was?”

“What?”
“Avoid, conceive, use a condom.”
“Puff…”
Briana sprayed water out of her mouth and looked at Madeline in disbelief, saying, “Is he sure his brain hasn’t gone haywire?”
“If I wasn’t afraid that he would invest in another movie for me in the future, I would have given him two hundred dollars today to see a psychiatrist and check his brain.”
After a few words of conversation, they started to have dinner. Madeline’s mother was a chef, so her cooking skills were also good. In comparison, Briana’s cooking was only at an edible level.
Briana cooked two bowls of rice and, together with Madeline, cleaned up the bowls and put them in the dishwasher before lying down on the sofa.
Madeline came over and pulled her, “Don’t lie down. We just finished eating and need to go out for a walk. Let’s go for a stroll.”
“Okay.”
The two of them walked out of the door, and Brycen had already left.
I walked around the road inside the villa and when I came back, it was already past eight in the evening.
Briana went upstairs to take a shower and was about to go to the study to work when she received a message from Maxim.
The six words without a beginning or an end made Briana furrow her
brow.
Stepping out of the compartment, Maxim walked to the end of the corridor and opened Line. The interface was still displaying the message he had sent to Briana an hour ago, but she hadn’t replied yet.
