Briana laughed, “No need, last night was just an accident.”

If it hadn’t been for Norma hearing about the car accident last night from an old friend, Briana and Maxim were both prepared to keep it from her.

“How could that be acceptable? I don’t trust your driving! What if there’s another accident…”

“No, don’t worry, Grandma.”

Norma, unable to persuade Briana, turned to the silent Maxim beside her, irritably saying, “Don’t you care about Briana at all?! It’s so dangerous for her to drive alone, won’t you advise her?!”

Maxim looked at her helplessly, “Grandma, Briana is an adult now, she can make her own decisions about these things.”

Norma glared at him, angrily turned her head away and ignored him.

He wore all black today, just to prevent Norma from knowing he was injured and worrying about him.

Sure enough, as soon as she took off her clothes, Briana saw that several of the wounds she had previously bandaged had already started to bleed.
