“Alright, I understood.”

“Alright, let’s go back.”

Briana Cameron had thought that the matter would end there, but to her surprise, she saw Sister Sun again at the entrance of the company the very next morning.

Upon seeing her, Sister Sun hurriedly came forward.

“Ms. Cameron, the doctor said Mrs. Schneider’s health is getting worse and worse… You should go see her… She was calling for you again last night…”

Watching the enthusiastic look on Sister Sun’s face, Briana Cameron couldn’t help but ask, “Did Mallory save your life?”

Sister Sun was taken aback, “Why do you say that?” 

“If it weren’t for her life–saving favor to you, I wouldn’t want to think about the reason you’ve come to find me time and again.”

“I just didn’t want you to regret it later.”

“Even if I regret it, it’s my own business. Please don’t come again, or I will call the police and accuse you of harassment.”

“Were you really that heartless?!” 

Sister Sun looked incredulous. Even if Mallory had been 

unkind to her, she was still her biological mother, the one who

Briana Cameron couldn’t be bothered to deal with her anymore, she quickly stepped into Graceful Attire.

Sister Sun stayed downstairs for a while, but eventually turned around and left.

Back at the hospital, she told Mallory that she had gone to find Briana Cameron, but she refused to come see Mallory.

Mallory’s face also turned extremely ugly, frowning and saying, “Sister Sun, don’t go looking for her anymore, I’ve long since cut off all ties with her.””

Sister Sun frowned and said, “You two are mother and daughter. You gave her life, she should be grateful. How could she possibly sever ties? She will always be your daughter.”

Upon hearing this, Mallory’s face darkened, “Sister Sun, you may not be fully aware of our family matters. Please don’t take it upon yourself to do such things in the future.”

Sister Sun was somewhat upset. She had clearly acted for her benefit, yet she was blamed instead.

After a moment of silence, Mallory continued, “Sister Sun, having one daughter, Kiley, is enough for me. As for Briana Cameron, I consider it as if I never had this daughter. You should not meddle in this matter anymore.” 

Mallory had tried all sorts of methods with Briana Cameron, but Briana Cameron was unyielding, and she was helpless.

“I was just feeling sorry for you. Look at you, you’ve been in the hospital for so long, and she never once came to visit you. Raising a dog would be more useful than taking care of her.”
