Maxim frowned, a glint of coldness flashing in his eyes.

“I understand, I will have someone investigate who this person is. You just focus on recovering, don’t worry about anything else. We can discuss everything else once you’re healed.”

Maxim was about to hang up when Rayan continued, “Mr. Yoder, there’s one more thing…”

“What happened?”

“This matter was about Ms. Cameron’s…”

Hearing Rayan’s hesitation, Maxim said in a deep voice, “Just say it, you don’t need to have any concerns.”

“Yesterday, I heard Isaac’s cell phone ringtone. It was the same one I heard when you had a car accident on your way to the courthouse for the divorce notarization, and Ms. Cameron rushed over to wait with me outside the operating room. I remember thinking it sounded familiar at the time, but I couldn’t place where I had heard that ringtone before.”

Maxim’s face grew increasingly somber, his grip on his phone unconsciously tightening, his breathing becoming noticeably heavier.

He didn’t mention Briana Cameron, he didn’t want to suspect 

her without concrete evidence.

Brycen’s voice instantly rose several notches, “If he really is involved with that organization, I suggest you don’t confront him directly. You have no idea how many people we had to find and how much effort we had to expend to get you and Rayan out of there.”

Maxim’s eyes darkened, he said coldly, “It’s no longer about whether I want to confront him head–on or not, that organization is very likely the real culprit helping him from behind.”

After a moment of silence, Brycen finally said in a low voice, “The organization is called Cold Night. I’ve heard they’re extremely ruthless, often taking on assassination jobs. They have no bottom line, they’ll take on anything as long as there’s money involved. If that organization really has you in their sights, you need to think carefully about how to deal with it.”
