Falling For My Cruel Mate novel Chapter 23

I sat my bum down on the couch and flicked the large flat screen TV on and was pleased to see that Netflix was preinstalled on it. I wasted absolutely no time and clicked on Reign. I had just started the show with my best friend, Siren, before I was abducted by the devil.

I was in beginning of season two and was dying to catch up, I'm sure Siren had probably watched all four seasons by now. I sat back and relaxed into the couch, submerging myself into the show. I had barely noticed the she-wolf whom was around my age that walked into the room, strutting her stuff I might add. It almost felt like we ordered a personal stripper.

She was clearly very fond of Ajax and Samuel, seeing as though they're both very handsome. She shamelessly flirted with them upon her arrival. Samuel could do better than her, she was thirsty for attention and attention only. Ajax on the other hand, he deserves someone shallow like her. She could have him.

My wolf immediately disagreed with my thoughts, but I pushed her away, not really caring for her biased opinion. She was practically forced to love him and see whatever shred of humanity he might have left.

The she-wolf placed a tray a food down on the coffee table in front of me before shooting a glare in my direction. I was a bit shocked. Is this girl really giving me a dirty look?

I leaned forward and snarled before snatching a strawberry off the tray. She jumped back a bit surprised at my reaction. Dumbass. I couldn't help but giggle as I took a bite out of my sweet strawberry.

"Behave." Ajax demanded coldly. Both him and Samuel had tore their eyes away from the paper to see what all the commotion was about.

"Yes, Alpha." I say sending him a sickly sweet smile before finishing off the strawberry in my hand. I hid my laughter as Samuel began to snigger at the tone of my voice.

"And as for you," Ajax turned his attention towards the she-wolf who was clearly of a lower class in the pack since she is delivering food. "Get the hell out before I allow her to do more than just flash her canines at you."

She exited the room quickly with her head bowed respectfully. I turned my attention back to the TV and I swore I barely even blinked as I drank up every movement on the screen. Both of the men at the desk practically jumped out of their chairs once I started squealing in excitement.

"What the fuck was that for?" Ajax growled out. I completely ignore his tone and continued jump around and clap with excitement.

"Mary queen of fucking Scotts is going to have a baby!" I say not even bothering to look over in their direction. My eyes were glued to the screen as I continued to chomp down on the plate of fruits. I hadn't eaten anything all day and it was already passed noontime now.
