Falling For My Cruel Mate novel Chapter 46

"I'm his possible mate." She answers before Samuel could even process my question. I raise my eyebrows in surprise and look over and Samuel. I did know he brought someone back from the party.

Samuel clears his throat awkwardly and I immediately change the subject. "So what's everybody up to today?"

Samuel seemed uncomfortable as the blonde girl placed her hand on his bicep, trying to get closer to him. I recognized her from when they both barged into the gym while I was working out my frustration. It seemed now that this girl was the one who needed the work out seeing as Samuel was paying no mind to her and she was becoming very upset. Why would he even bring her here if he knew that he wasn't interested?

"I'm going out, I need to do some mingling." Cipher says as she pushes her hand through her dark hair. I refuse to make eye contact with her. I can feel her eyes roam the surface of my face begging me to look at her but I don't give in so easily.

"I think Sam and I are going to continue our tour of the pack lands, right Sam?" The blonde girl who has yet to mention her name speaks up. We all look to Samuel for a conformation but instead his eyes are a bit glazed over as his eyebrows furrow in concentration. Mind link.

Not many wolves used the gift of mind link, seeing as it takes years to master. It was sort of like shifting, in the beginning it hurts but the more you practice the less and less it hurts. It requires so much focus and concentration that many don't even bother with it.

He snaps back into reality and looks over at me immediately. "Why didn't you tell me what was going on?"

"I didn't know I was supposed to?" I say confused. I assume he was referring to the possible threat that Siren had revealed to us.

"I have to go help the Alpha take care of something, but maybe you can hang out with Cipher or my sister." Samuel says quickly as he stands up and begins exiting the room.

The blonde girl was left shocked and confused, her mouth slight ajar as she watched his figure leave the kitchen and head for the stairs. It was pretty rude of Sam to bring her to foreign place and then just ditch her. "You told me you're sister left." She mumbles to herself.

"Can we have a girls day? So that we can catch up?" Siren asks turning to me, a small smirk on her face. Girls day was always our favorite day, we had to have one at least twice a month. We usual pulled on our biggest, baggiest clothes and got a bunch of junk food and just caught up on all the gossip.

"Yes!" I say immediately becoming extremely excited.

We began rummaging through the cabinets trying to find all the goodies and snacks. I could hear Cipher clear her throat as she instructs the blonde to follow her. They exit the room without another word and I try my best to pay no mind to them.

In the end we found pop tarts, Oreos, fruit snacks, popcorn, zebra cakes, donuts, and cupcakes. We turn to each other arms stacked with goodies and large smiles upon our face.

"Last one to the room is a rotten egg!" I yell out quickly before dashing past her and out of the kitchen.
