"Now thats what I'm talking about!" Was the last thing I heard before there was a sharp prick at my neck and a darkness consumed me.
"Did you have to bruise such a pretty face?" A dark chuckle echoes around the room as a light hand sweeps across my chin. The pounding in my head heightens at the sound of heavy chains being dragged across the room.
My eyelids feel heavy as I try to push them open, but they wont budge. I'm consumed in the darkness. My ankles feel heavy as cool metal clasps around them and my wrists. My chest burns as I struggle to take in the slightest breath. Why am I struggling so hard to breath? Where am I?
"Ajax?" Where's Ajax? A groan escapes my dry lips as I try to lift my heavy foggy head.
"Shh," A velvet like voice whispers. "You won't be needing him anymore."
I push my eyes open, forcing them. I need to get out of here.
Blue. Ice cold blue.
I was hoping and praying for his unpredictable ocean blue eyes... Instead I received the ice burg that sunk the entire titanic.
Ajax:
December Second.
"We have three more intervals left before every nonessential pack member is tucked safely in the bunker." Cipher says as she scans her list one more time. I nod my head as I go over the numbers once more. I just wanted everyone to be out of harms way already.
"Good, hurry up. I want you to go over and help set up the med camp with the pack doctors when you're done with that. Once this thing is over I want to try and help all of our injured to our best abilities." I say shoving my fingers through my hair. A wave of frustration consumed me, causing my muscles to become tense.
"You got it, brother." She says quickly, before returning to her duties. I glance back over to Weston who just finished with the last warrior.
They step of the sparring mat and he sends the young man over to the other side of the room with the rest of the warriors. Hundreds of them stood around waiting. They waited for my command. They waited for another Alpha to invade our lands. They waited to fight for their pack, for their blood.
Weston and Samuel make their way over to me and I huff out an annoyed sighed. We have to go over the battle strategy one more time, just to make sure each of us has got it right. I spread out the map of the territory lands on the make shift table that stood off to the side of the large gym.
