Fated For Lycan's Luna (Chloe and Blake) novel Chapter 198

Chloe

We stared at the sight in shock and a flash of realization came over us as the puncture on the fog wall rapidly closed up.

“As you can see, we can only see the pathway for a few seconds then it will close again…” Alpha Nador calmly exclaimed.

Then from his large bag, he revealed a thick rope, heavy and long.

“We need to have one person, the most nimble among us to cross the thin pathway. Once he reaches the other side, he has to connect the rope so that all others will be guided. For I can only open the fog wall here on the stable ground. The pathway is so thin that it would crumble once we tried to exert our energies while stepping on it.” Alpha Nador then explained.

Then he looked at us, asking with his eyes who among us would be the first to cross the path.

“I’ll go…” Blake did not hesitate and immediately answered.

“Good!” Alpha Nador said as he tied the rope on Blake’s waist and told him some instructions.

Before he went, I held his hand and said in worry, “Be careful.”

Blake nodded with a reassuring look as he signaled Alpha Nador that he was ready.

Once again, Alpha Nador punctured the fog wall and revealed the very thin pathway connecting to the other side of the cliff.

Surging with energy, Blake flashed and quickly entered the puncture. His figure quickly disappeared and only the tension on the rope became a sign that he was doing fine.

After a while, Alpha Nador stood while holding the other end of the rope and told everyone, “The next one should be light but also strong… he has to assist the Alpha to help others cross safely.”

With that one by one crossed the cliff. Alpha Nador instructed everyone for their safety and everyone followed.

When it was my turn, I held the thick rope in my heart and skipped a beat in fear and nervousness. That is because one of the people on the other side was many enough to carry the weight of one person, Alpha Nador no longer punctured the fog wall and we could only hold on to the rope tightly to feel where we should step.

Watching over others, I thought that the operation would be simple, but I underestimated the harsh winds that hit heavily in between the cliffs.

I let out a whimper, calling for helpp but my voice is drowned by the whistling of the wind and my vision was blocked by the thick dark fog.
