Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 1308

Chapter 1308

Kent was driving, and they were headed to the company. Upon reaching the thirty-ninth floor, Emily had barely sat down when she suddenly got a message from

Martin:

“Emily, I’m really sorry, and no amount of words can express my guilt. Last night, I didn’t sleep a wink, but I didn’t dare disturb you. My mom found out in the hospital that I’d fallen for a girl and then dug up your family background. She found you last night by tailing me I know I have no face to see you anymore. I just hope that my family didn’t cause you too much trouble. I’m sorry!”

Emily had always seen Martin as a polite, virtuous, and excellent doctor, so even though yesterday was awkward, she still respected him. After thinking for a bit, she replied,

“It’s fine, but to put your mom at ease, we shouldn’t see each other anymore. I hope you understand

She didn’t blame him; she just felt that continuing this would be bad for both of them.

Martin naturally understood Emily’s meaning, and after a while, he replied, “Emily, I wish you happiness in the future.”

*Thank you!”

Emily replied to the message, feeling relieved to have solved a problem, and threw herself into her work wholeheartedly. Around noon, Emily received a message from Charlie: “I want to have grilled lobster and oxtail stewed in red wine for lunch.”

Emily stared at the phone screen, a small smile appearing silently on her face.

“Alnght”

After a couple of days, Emily ran into Sherry again at the foot of her apartment building after work.

Compared to Sherry’s high-handed image last time, she was completely different now.

She was holding gifts, women’s skincare products, and baby supplies. Seeing Emily, she immediately came over with a smile and said, “Ms. Sullivan, have you finished work?”

No wonder Sherry would come to plead

“Ms. Sullivan, we didn’t know about your relationship with Mr. James, or else I wouldn’t have had the nerve to cause trouble even if I were braver. I was wrong about this. Please forgive me, and I hope you can put in a good word for us with Mr. James and have him let us off.”

Sherry begged in a low voice,

“If you want me to apologize publicly, I’m willing to. Really, our family sells food, and if our products can’t be sold, with the capital chain broken and raw materials piling up and unable to be produced, all our family’s decades of effort would be in vain.”

“Ms. Sullivan, I beg you, please help us!”

With that, Sherry was about to kneel before Emily.
