Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 1360

Chapter 1360

Charlie knew that Mr. Sample was laying it on thick to butter him up, but he was still all chuffed. Maybe it was a bit of wishful thinking, but he started to see a bit of himself in Kya.

Seeing Charlie chuffed, the others started piling praises on Kya.

Kya, however, remained as cool as a cucumber. Despite her tender age, she showed a sense of calmness that was so Charlie-like. She was engrossed in her milkshake, neither shy nor showy.

While they were all having a laugh, the newlyweds came for a toast.

Elliott walked in, spotted Kya in Charlie’s lap, and nearly jumped out of his skin. He rushed over to scoop Kya up, “Mr. James, how can we let you babysit Kya?”

Kya shouted out with joy. “Uncle Elliott!

Everyone looked at Elliott, then at Charlie, all a bit flummoxed.

Charlie just chuckled, “It’s fine, Kya likes hanging out with me.”

Kya clung onto Charlie’s shirt, “Tm good with Dad, I’m not acting up.”

Elliott was completely gobsmacked.

Charlie gave him a knowing look, “You can just focus on your bride today, leave the rest to me

Elliott nodded hastily, snapping back to reality.

Mr. Sample and the others were a bit stumped about Elliott and Charlie’s relationship, it seemed like Elliott’s sister Emily was with Mr. James, but they didn’t seem

to know each other well.

Were they hiding something?

Bonnie stood by, watching everything unfold. She got the picture now.

Seeing how doting Charlie was towards Kya, she felt a chill down her spine. She had called Kya an illegitimate child over the phone and canceled her role as a flower girl at the last minute. She wondered if Charlie knew all that

After more pleasantries, Elliott and Bonnie left.

Once they were out of the room, Bonnie blurted out, “Is Mr. James really the CEO of the James Group?”

Elliott beamed, “Of course it’s true, how can it be a liel

Bonnie exclaimed, “So, Emily’s kid is really Mr. James”?”

Elliott frowned in thought, “I don’t think so, but I can’t figure out why Mr. James is so attentive to Kya.”
