Chapter 1385
Sophia raised an eyebrow, saying, “Should I ask Jason? Won’t that be rubbing salt in his wound?”
A silent chuckle escaped Harriet
The small black room was a tiny space partitioned off into a private room. It had no lights, windows, and pitch-black, specifically for punishing those who lose at games
Upon entering, Jason pulled out his phone and turned on the flashlight, illuminating the room.
There was only a double sofa in the room Estelle sat down, surprised. She looked at Jason, I thought we couldn’t bring phones in?”
Jason grinned. “I have two phones”
Estelle sent Jason an appreciative look, even though it was hard to see his face in the dim room.
Jason sat down next to her, and chuckled, “You dodged again last week. I don’t believe you can keep avoiding Old Mr. Quintin forever
Estelle relaxed into the back of the sofa, her tone softening, “Could you put in a good word for me with Old Mr. Quintin?”
“Do you really like Jonathan that much?” Jason glanced at Estelle. He knew her character. It was hard for her to forgive after being betrayed. If she could return to Jonathan, it meant she truly loved him.
“What about you? How much do you like Sophia? Estelle turned the question back on Jason.
Jason was taken aback.
He realized he had just revealed who he liked and couldn’t hide it from Estelle anymore. He leaned back into the sofa, softly saying, “After a while, liking someone becomes a habit. I don’t even know how much I really like her.”
Estelle suddenly remembered Jason once told her the woman he liked didn’t like him back, which was why he remained single.
It turned out the woman Jason liked was Sophia!
Estelle’s throat felt dry, and she whispered, “That’s brutal for you!”
Jason must have liked Sophia for a long time, but Sophia was into Robin. She expressed her feelings for Robin every day, even in front of Jason, asking him to analyze Robin’s thoughts and help her chase after him.
How did Jason feel facing such an “affectionate” Sophia?
In the dim light, Jason’s face was expressionless. He just closed his eyes, “It hurts until you go numb, then you don’t feel anything.”
Jason gave up everything in B City and came to J City for Sophia. However, Sophia chose to go to M Country for her love. Even after all these years, Jason still stayed in J City just to give Sophia an out.
“You should skip the gatherings if Robin’s there,” Estelle whispered.
Jason gave a small smile, “Sometimes, imagining is more painful than seeing.”
He turned to look at Estelle’s emotionless face, and murmured, “Don’t worry. I’m not as fragile as you think.”
Estelle sighed, “You should start a new relationship. Magdalen said a new romance helps heal old wounds.”
Jason couldn’t help shaking his head, “Magdalen only had one relationship. What does she know? She’s just fooling you!”
Estelle couldn’t help laughing.
