Chapter 1682
The men nearby froze instantly.
Anyone hailing from J City was well acquainted with the reputation of Madeline She was known for her ruthless tactics and merciless demeanor, a woman that no one dared to cross.
But this was the first time they were witnessing her fury in person!
They were petrified!
Their usual antics paled in comparison to what Madeline was capable of, they were simply not in her league!
As Madeline’s intimidating voice echoed, Antonia screamed in defiance, “Madeline, you will pay for this! I will get my father involved, he’ll make your life
hell!”
Then there was a smack.
Madeline landed another harsh slap on her face, “Even your grandfather can’t save you here in J City. There’s no room for your hooliganism!”
Antonia’s face swelled from both sides, blood streaming from her mouth. She was held by her neck by Madeline, finally revealing a look of fear, tears streaming down her face,
“Madeline, I was wrong, I won’t dare again!”
Madeline continued to hit her, “If your parents won’t teach you manners, someone else will! Think you can act high and mighty? Go strut around in your own living room, in J City, you are not entitled to! Put away your dirty tricks, if you dare to mess with Ella again, I’ll string you up in the old town gate of J City, and charge for the view, got it?”
Antonia, beaten till she was dizzy, nodded her head in fear,
Madeline stood up, kicked Antonia back to the ground, cast a cold glance over the crowd, and walked away with ease.
As she opened the door to leave, a slender figure was leaning against the opposite wall Seeing her come out, the figure tipped her baseball cap to reveal a stunning face,
“Feel better now?”
Madeline squinted in surprise, “What are you doing here?”
Estelle raised an eyebrow, “Came here to give someone a beating too, but you beat me to it, so I had to wait outside.”
Madeline smirked, “Enjoy the show?”-
Estelle took out her lollipop. “Hell yeah!”
Want to get a few kicks in yourself?”
Estelle raised an eyebrow, “She’s already dying. I’m afraid one more kick might kill her!”
“So what if she dies?” Madeline said arrogantly
Estelle wasn’t afraid of anything, except for the teasing gaze of the pretty policewoman at the station, telling her, “Don’t worry. I’ve called Jonathan!”
And the thought of meeting Jonathan at the police station!
She wondered how long she would have to endure his teasing?
Having vented her anger, Madeline was hungry now, she glanced at her watch, “Had dinner yet?”
Estelle shook her head, “No!”
She had rushed over, leaving Jonathan and Emily behind without even eating the delicious meal Emily had prepared.
“Let’s go!” Madeline tilted her head, “Dinner’s on me.”
“Let me treat, you’ve done all the work!” Estelle said with a smile, “What do you feel like eating?”
Madeline thought for a moment, “Let’s have some barbecue, I’m craving grilled lobster!”
“Alright, let me find a place! Estelle reached for her phone.
“Why bother?” Madeline put her arm around Estelle’s shoulder, “Right here, get their chef to come out and grill our lobsters!”
Estelle laughed as they walked out together, “Aren’t you making it hard for them?”
