"Awesome!" Sophia's eyes sparkled with joy, "Finally, something to cheer me up. With just two months left, I guess you'll be pretty busy, huh?"
Estelle replied, "The wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, and favors are all my own designs. Everything else is in Jonathan's hands!"
The final draft of the wedding dress had already been passed to Harriet, and finishing the rest within a fortnight seemed manageable.
"Got any ideas?" Sophia perked up at the mention of designs.
"A few." Estelle showed Sophia the initial draft of her bridesmaid dress, "This one's for you. Do you like it?"
"Wow!" Sophia exclaimed, genuinely thrilled.
As they discussed designs for bridesmaid dresses and favors, Sophia forgot all her previous dilemmas, engrossed in the conversation with Estelle.
When the night had fully set in, a servant came to call them for dinner.
"By the way, did Vivian mention when she'll be back?" Sophia asked.
It had been so long since they'd heard from her.
Estelle shook her head, "No news."
Sophia pondered for a moment, "No news is good news, I guess. It's comforting for the master to have Evelyn by her side."
Estelle paused, her voice softening, "Regardless of what Evelyn has said, don't take it to heart."
Sophia smiled, linking arms with her, "Don't worry. As long as the master is happy, I'm fine with anything. After all, it's Evelyn who's by her side."
No matter how much Evelyn tried to push her away or even sow discord between her and Estelle, she wouldn't mind, nor would she complain to the master.
Estelle laughed, "If only you were this insightful in matters of the heart, Jason wouldn't have been so troubled all these years."
Sophia's heart skipped a beat, "Don't mention him!"
"Alright, no more talk of that. Let's go have dinner!" Estelle led the way inside.
After dinner, Jonathan arrived to take Estelle back to the Lamont family estate.
"Jonathan told us, so we understand. We're just worried about you, not upset," Catherine said with gentle affection.
Estelle realized Jonathan had briefed them earlier, feeling even more moved.
After spending over half an hour in the study, Jonathan returned to the living room to find Estelle missing.
"Where's Ella?" Jonathan asked.
"Norah called her to her room," Catherine replied, annoyed, "She couldn't even finish an episode before being whisked away."
Jonathan turned to head upstairs.
"Stop right there!" Catherine laughed, "You think Ella's going to run off? Let her have her chat with Norah."
Realizing he might be too protective, Jonathan checked the time, "I'll start a video conference upstairs. If Ella looks for me, tell her I'm in the study on the third floor."
"Got it, off you go!" Catherine said with a warm smile.
