Jasmine shrugged nonchalantly, "No worries, my son-in-law will bring his bride back home to me!"

Sophia was so frustrated she almost ended the video call right then and there.

Biting her lip, she whispered, "Mom, don't you think things between Jason and me are moving too fast?"

Jasmine took a sip of her coffee, her voice warm, "Sophia, are you happy now?"

Sophia nodded without hesitation.

"And compared to when you were with Robin?"

After a moment, Sophia nodded again.

"Well, there you have it!" Jasmine chuckled lightly, "Being happy means you like Jason. Love sweeps in like a tornado, leaving no time to think. Besides, Jason has waited ages for you. It might seem fast to you, but for him, it's been an eternity!"

Sophia couldn't help but laugh, collapsing onto the couch in fits of laughter.

Jasmine continued, "Even though you're into arts, don't get caught up in being overly sentimental. It doesn't suit you!"

This reminded Sophia of how Yolanda always advised her to choose rings that matched her personality, making her laugh even harder, nearly rolling off the leather couch.

Once Sophia calmed down, Jasmine's tone turned serious, "Honey, I haven't seen you this happy since before you and Robin broke up. It broke my heart, but I didn't want to burden you further. Trust my intuition; you really love Jason. Just be at peace with him, don't overthink. You two have a long journey ahead!"

Feeling warm and reassured, Sophia replied, "I understand, thanks, Mom."

"As long as you have Jason, I'm relieved!" Jasmine sighed.

Sophia snorted, "I've heard that since I was little. Guess you can finally rest easy now!"

"Of course, I'm proud of the son-in-law I've groomed. What about it?" Jasmine said with a mix of pride and entitlement.

Sophia laughed again, "So, you've been plotting this all along, wanting Jason to be your son-in-law!"

Jasmine admitted, "I might have thought about it, but it all depended on my daughter winning over such a great guy!"
