Matthew eyes darkened for a moment, but his attitude remained sincere, ‘It’s fine, things like this have happened before. After some time, Granny and the others will realize that we don’t have any romantic intentions and their enthusiasm will cool down’ 

He pushed the cake towards Estelle, “Since I’m already here, you might as well take it. You can share it with your coworkers as a late-night snack.” 

Estelle didn’t accept it. 

“Come on, take it! We might not be a couple, but at least we’re friends, right? It’s just a cake, and I’m not into sweets. If you don’t want it, I’ll have to throw it away.” Matthew grabbed Estelle’s hand and put the cake in her hand, “Get back to work quickly, don’t let this affect your job.” 

Estelle didn’t turn him down again, “Thank you, and please thank your granny for me!” 

On the side of the road, Charlie and Jonathan got out of their car and walked towards Midnight Bar. Charlie glanced at the corner of his eyes, then looked back and chuckled, “Isn’t that Estelle?” 

Jonathan turned his head out of habit and saw Estelle and Matthew standing by the roadside. Matthew was putting the cake in Estelle’s hand and smiling warmly while talking to her. 

The handsome man’s face showed no emotion, and he quickly turned away, walking towards the entrance of the Midnight Bar without haste. 

Charlie glanced at Jonathan’s expression, somewhat puzzled whether he was genuinely no longer bothered, or he was just pretending well. He didn’t say much, following him inside. 

When Estelle returned, she was waiting for the elevator to come up from the basement level. The elevator opened, and Manley’s handsome face appeared in front of her, greeting her with surprise, “Estelle, babe!” 

Four or five people were waiting for the elevator, and all their eyes fell on Estelle. They saw her wearing the Midnight Bar waiter uniform and looked at her with curiosity, disdain, and envy… 

Estelle’s face paled, and she was about to turn around to take another elevator when Manley suddenly grabbed her wrist and pulled her into the elevator, “Hurry up and get in, don’t hold up other people from taking the elevator.” 

As people crowded into the elevator, Estelle didn’t want to make a scene with Manley in this situation and simply moved aside without expression. 

Manley looked down at the cake in her hand and took it from her hand, “Buying a cake while working? You didn’t eat dinner?” 

Estelle didn’t want to talk to him. 

Manley continued, “This cake looks good, how about sharing half with me?” 

Estelle said flatly, “You can have it all!” 

The elevator stopped on the fifth floor, and two men got in. One of them was Charlie’s friend, who knew Estelle and knew that she had a close relationship with Jonathan. He politely greeted her, “Ms. Macclain!”

The man’s eyes glanced at Manley, unsure whether them being together was a coincidence. 

Soon, the elevator stopped on the sixth floor. Estelle still hadn’t moved, but Manley pulled her out, “We’re here!” 

Estelle struggled for a moment, but Manley immediately tightened his grip. 

The man behind her frowned, stepped forward, and asked Estelle, “Ms. Macclain, do you need help?” Manley was wearing a pink suit, which would normally be too much for a guy. However, on Manley, it somehow looked extraordinary, especially the black earring on his ear, which added a touch of elegance to him. 

With one hand holding Estelle’s wrist and the other holding the cake, he stared coldly at the man, 

“Get lost!” 

The man’s face changed, and he was about to speak when Estelle suddenly said, “Thank you, I’m fine. Are you going to the eighth floor? Go ahead!” 

The man nodded, “Mr. James and Jonah are upstairs. If anyone causes trouble, feel free to call, Ms. 

Macclain.” 

Estelle nodded, “Thank you.” 

Only then did the man look at Manley one more time, then got on the elevator. 

Manley sneered and dragged Estelle further down the hallway.
