Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 740

Chapter 740

The next day was Monday. Estelle left the design studio for the film set in the morning, and it was nearly ten o’clock by the time she arrived

After a hectic start to the day, Craig and Gwen dragged her to the yard behind the production office where a cart was waiting They lifted the lid to reveal a birthday cake

“Happy birthday, Estelle!’ Craig grinned

Gwen pointing at the gift next to the cake, excitedly said, “I bought the gift!”

Craig chimed in, “Don’t even get me started. She bought a zodiac keychain and haggled with the store clerk for two hours just to get a discount The clerk was so fed up, he finally gave her a 10% discount out of sheer annoyance It was so embarrassing to watch!”

Gwen retorted, “Well, 10% off is still a pretty good deal. If I can save some cash, why wouldn’t I?”

Craig was speechless

Gwen opened the box and presented the keychain to Estelle as if it were a precious jewel, “Do you like it?”

The keychain wasn’t cheap, costing at least a grand. Estelle knew that for Gwen, this was some big spending

Estelle took it, nodding and smiling. ‘I love it, thank you!”

Craig then handed her his gift, “This is from Mr. Malcom and me. Happy birthday. Estelle! Hope you keep getting prettier and richer”

It was a wallet. After thanking them and accepting the gift, Estelle said, “Tell Mr. Malcom lunch is on me!”

“Great!” Gwen’s face lit up with joy “No more box lunches. Estelle, I love you!”

At noon, they headed to Xavier’s BBQ joint with the cake.

On the way, Gwen discreetly asked Estelle, “Those billboards on your birthday were all rented by Mr. Lamont, right?”

Estelle nodded.

Xavier glanced at the three in the lobby and chuckled, “Seems like you’re getting along well with them?”

Estelle agreed, “Yeah, they’re alright”

Xavier looked at her and laughed, “You’ve really changed a lot”

She used to be quite reclusive and wouldn’t make friends this easily, let alone enjoy food and drinks without any reservations

‘People change. Our environment and experiences shape us,” Estelle said calmly

“That’s great!” Xavier smiled, “That’s the way it should be The more friends you make, the richer your life will be.”

Estelle kept munching on her cherries, not saying a word
