Alivia watched as Jimmy's white T-shirt approached. He was tall, standing at a full six feet tall, and seeing from behind, it seemed like he was hugging her. A youthful aura emanated from the young man, and Jimmy, as a senior in the Broadcasting Department, was quite popular on campus. Many girls skipped classes just to attend his public lectures, and the professor's classes were always filled to the brim with mostly girl students.
As he got closer, Alivia tensed up, and even after waiting for a while, he didn't leave. Just as she was about to urge him to go, a sharp horn sounded from the far end of the small path.
The horn honked three times in quick succession, filled with impatience. Both of them were startled and looked in the direction of the sound. The dark-tinted windows obstructed their view, making it impossible to see who was inside. Jimmy furrowed his brows, "Who honks the horn from so far away..."
Alivia was worried that Jimmy might suspect something. After all, with a luxury car like that, her humble background might lead to misunderstandings. She hurriedly said, "I need to catch a ride. Let's meet at school next week. Goodbye."
Though Jimmy wanted to spend more time with her, seeing her anxious expression, he didn't press further. He simply said, "Okay, take care on your way."
Alivia nodded and watched Jimmy leave before entering the small path. She rushed to the car and got in, breathing heavily. When she turned her head, she was met with a sweet smile from Lucas sitting in the backseat.
"Hello, Ms. Graves!" Lucas greeted with a sweet voice, his bright eyes like twinkling stars.
Alivia smiled happily, "Hello, we meet again."
After finishing saying, she took out a small box of teddy bear-shaped soft sweets she had bought in advance from her bag, "Here, this is for you."
The red box was about the size of a fist and had a brown teddy bear plaid tied to it. When opened, it revealed various colors of gummy candies shaped like bears, all coated with a layer of white sugar powder, making them look delightful.
