Bert had been tormented by desire almost to the point of fainting last night, but the moment he stepped into the room, Bert was at least clear-headed. He was still struggling to restrain the demons within him, but seeing her face, seeing her lying beneath him, everything seemed to be like a wild horse out of control.
He possessed that girl, and it wasn't all due to the effects of the drugs; there was a deep desire within him that acted as the ultimate catalyst.
So, when he saw her lying next to him this morning, he was surprised, but more than that, he was filled with self-doubt. He couldn't believe that, besides Evelyn, he had accepted another woman, and this woman had come and gone so quietly.
Before all of this happened last night, Bert never thought he had any different feelings for Alivia.
Now, it seemed he had been too obtuse, underestimating the influence this woman had on him.
Even standing in the cold water, the thought of her alluring and enchanting beneath him still made his blood boil...
Bert suddenly saw a corner of his heart clearly. Seeing it made everything easier, knowing what he had to admit and what he had to do.
Fifteen minutes later, the two were dressed and Bert led Lucas out of the room. They stopped at the door of the adjacent room as if they had made a certain decision. He raised his hand to knock on the doorbell but hesitated, doing it several times without any response.
A sense of unease crept up in the man's mind, and he took out a spare room card from his pocket and swiped it into the slot.
"Beep."
After a soft sound, the door opened, and as he pushed the door in, the tightly drawn curtains couldn't stop the bright light from outside. The bed, the things on the bedside table, everything was exactly as it was when he left, except for the clothes thrown in the trash can.
It was the one he tore apart last night.
Bert's face suddenly turned gloomy. He walked around the room, but there was no sign of that familiar figure.
