Finding Love in the Boss’s Embrace After Divorce novel Chapter 130

Chapter 130 We’re a Family From Now On

Although she had met most of the people present before, she still felt uneasy when they were gathered together. She had no insight into their opinions of her.

Eva was suspended and replaced by a woman named Flora Atkins for the time being. Although they were both female managers, Flora was much more capable than Eva. She only concentrated on her work and did not care about other gossip.

Evelyn liked her new leader very much. At the very least, she would no longer be suppressed by Eva secretly.

It was 5:30 p.m., and the employees got off work on time. Ada was joyful, but Evelyn was not happy.

“Why do you look upset? Rarely, we don’t need to work overtime!” Seeing that she was not in a good mood, Ada was a little puzzled.

Evelyn sighed and said, “You can leave first. I still have some

work to do.”

“You’re so smart now that you’re willing to work overtime on your own initiative.” Ada pretended to nod in appreciation. “Thank you for your hard work. I won’t accompany you, bye-bye.”

Seeing that Ada and the rest of the team members had left,

Evelyn leaned on the desk in frustration, took out her mobile phone, and sent a message to Huston. He quickly replied, [Come to my office.]

Ten minutes later, Evelyn entered the president’s office through the side door of Sam’s office.

Huston was sitting behind his desk, dealing with some business affairs. Occasionally, he would say something. He was probably attending a video conference.

She stood on her tiptoes and carefully sat on the sofa in the middle of the office. After waiting for a long time, he still hadn’t finished the meeting, so she simply took out her mobile phone to play the game.

About half an hour later, Huston finally stood up from his chair. Evelyn was so engrossed in playing the game that she didn’t come back to her senses until her phone was taken away.

“Have you finished your work?” asked Evelyn.

Huston looked down at her phone screen and said, “Are you not nervous anymore? Why are you so engrossed in playing the game?”

She didn’t even notice him walking over.

She touched her nose and said, “I think so.”

She had been nervous for the whole afternoon. To be honest, when she was a little too nervous, she calmed down instead.

The two of them left the company together and drove to an exquisite Frenco restaurant built by the mountain in the suburbs.

The sky had turned completely dark. Outside the door, a fountain reflected shimmering blue lights and changed shapes. The melody of soft music drifted from the luxurious revolving restaurant situated on the second floor.

The car stopped at the door. The parking attendant came over and took the key. They walked into the hall and a waiter in a black and white uniform with a bow tie came forward to lead the

way.
