Finding Love in the Boss’s Embrace After Divorce novel Chapter 133

Chapter 133 Do You Think I’m Old?

As expected, when Huston heard that she was not feeling well, no matter how angry he was, he had to suppress his anger. He patiently helped her up from the chair, simply said goodbye to Kevin and the others, and left.

When they walked to the corner on the second floor, Evelyn shouted into the dining room, “Let’s keep in touch by call, Mabel.”

Kevin looked at Mabel Gates in surprise. He did not expect that the two of them would be able to build a friendship through a meal.

Mabel felt her scalp go numb under his gaze, and she responded unnaturally, “Okay, drive slowly.”

After Evelyn was dragged away by Huston, Kevin pulled out the chair next to Mabel and sat down. He picked up a strawberry from the fruit tray on the table and put it into his mouth. He joked, “You got along with her well.”

Mabel was stiff. Hearing the sarcasm in his words, she didn’t answer but asked, “Dean Lane, are we leaving now?”

Kevin noticed that her body was getting stiffer and stiffer. As if it was not enough, he deliberately stretched out a hand and placed it behind her seat. “Let’s wait a little longer.”

Mabel smelled the strong fragrance of mint mixed with the smell of alcohol on the man’s body. She put her hands on her legs helplessly, and soon there was a layer of sweat on her palms.

She thought, “Didn’t he ask me to drive? What was going on

now…”

At the entrance of the restaurant, the driver was already waiting.

The car heater was turned. After getting in the car, Evelyn felt very hot. She removed her coat and placed it on the back of the passenger seat. She was only wearing a tight white shirt, revealing her graceful figure.

Huston was afraid that she would feel cold and that he would lose control of himself, he took her coat again and put it on her. Evelyn couldn’t resist it, so she could only wear it. Soon, a thin layer of sweat appeared on her forehead.

“Are you drunk?” The man raised his hand and touched her cheek. The skin under his palm was burning hot.

She bit her lip and shook her head. “No.”

She was not as drunk as she had been last time when she drank wine with Grace. At least, she was sober now. She just felt dizzy.

“You’ll cause trouble if I am not around.” If he had gone back a little later, she would have finished a bottle of red wine.

She was unconvinced, saying, “I’m already 24 years old. I have a sense of propriety.”

soppressive gaze swept over and looked at her flushed face. He asked, “Do you have a sense of propriety?”

Evelyn choked on her words.

Well, she would occasionally indulge herself.

However, when it came to age, he recalled her previous remarks on the matter. He recollected that this was not the first time she had expressed such sentiments. If it was the first time, he might have dismissed it as teasing. However, after hearing it repeatedly, he began to think that perhaps she truly thought so.

With these thoughts in mind, he turned her face towards his and playfully asked, “Do you think I’m very old?”

At this moment, she didn’t dare to admit it. She could only deny it. “No, you’re not that old. I was just joking.”

Not that old?
