Finding Love in the Boss’s Embrace After Divorce novel Chapter 1356

Chapter 1356 Deciding to Face the Reality

Evelyn's talk seemed to have a significant effect on Alivia. The next morning, when Romy came to deliver a replenishing soup, Alivia finished drinking it and spoke calmly, "Mom, I know the soup was sent over by Bert and then given to me."

Romy froze a little at Alivia's words and quickly responded, "What are you talking about? I made the soup for you. What does it have to do with Bert?"

"Mom, don't lie to me. The ingredients in this are really difficult to handle. It can't be made this way without special skills."

Romy opened her mouth to explain but found herself at a loss for words. Well, no one knows a mother better than her own daughter. Alivia had been eating her mother's food since childhood; she would definitely notice the difference.

With the conversation at this point, Romy decided to be honest, "I didn't intend to hide it from you. You're in a recovery period and need nutrition. I was afraid that if I told you Bert had prepared it, you might refuse to drink it. I've been running between the hospital and home, not having enough time to prepare such meticulous soup."

Alivia looked down at the empty white porcelain bowl in her hands, deep in thought. After a few seconds, she lifted her head again and said, "Let him deliver it himself."

Taken aback by this sudden statement, Romy asked, "Who?"

"Bert," Alivia sighed heavily.

After all these days of struggle, she was already twenty-two. She couldn't keep acting like a child anymore, she needed to sort out her own feelings.

Romy, of course, hoped that Alivia could see Bert. As an elder, she could see that Bert's feelings for Alivia were genuine and passionate. If they could really be together, Alivia would be very happy.

But Alivia's emotions toward Bert had always been very intense, and Romy feared it might affect her recovery. Even though she was anxious, she had never mentioned anything.
