Chapter 151 Enemies
After choosing the birthday gift, Evelyn and Grace had dinner in a restaurant next to the mall. It was just in time for dinner, and it was a little noisy in the hall. They chose a corner, which was not bad.
However, they happened to run into Jerry and Maura, who were having dinner together. They were sitting next door and could see each other as soon as Evelyn and Grace turned their heads.
Evelyn got up again, picked up her bag, and asked the waiter beside her, “Are there any other seats?”
“Yes, but the corner is gone. It will be a little messy.”
“It doesn’t matter.” Chaos was better than seeing the adulterous couple.
Just as the waiter was looking for an empty seat, Maura happened to see Evelyn. She was stunned for a second before she came to her senses and leaned over to Jerry arrogantly.
Grace’s eyes were burning with anger. He couldn’t help but swear, “Look at that bitch. She’s never seen a man before.”
Evelyn didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, so she gently pulled Grace’s sleeve and said, “Forget it, ignore her.“.
Grace was trying her best to suppress her anger, but Maura
deliberately made a mouth gesture to her. It was two silent, contemptuous, and provocative words: “Fuck off!“.
“Fuck off?” Grace laughed childishly. “Does she think it’s a great honor to be a lover? I’ll teach her a lesson on behalf of her parents today!”
It was too late for Evelyn to hold Grace.
Grace walked to Maura’s table in two steps and pointed at her face rudely. “What did you mean just now?”
After hearing the sound, Jerry looked away from the menu. “Grace Glenn?”
Wasn’t she Evelyn’s best friend?
If so…
Jerry looked back and saw Evelyn walking toward him. He hadn’t seen her for a long time. At this time, she was wearing a black cloak–styled wool coat, the same color as shorts, and a pair of knee–length boots, revealing a small part of her white thigh. She was slender and slim.
Jerry didn’t notice Evelyn’s beauty when they got married. Now he knew that she was so outstanding just by standing there. Unfortunately, her charm was all given to another man.
Maura noticed that Jerry’s eyes were almost glued to Evelyn. She gritted her teeth secretly, took his arm, and said in a pitiful voice, “Jerry. I’m so scared.”
“Ha!” Grace sneered. “When you destroyed someone else’s family, you didn’t know how to be afraid. Now you’re afraid? Don’t pretend. You’re a shameless woman. How dare you learn from a little white rabbit?”
Grace’s words hurt Maura, and the soft expression on her face was about to break. “Jerry, you scolded her.”
Jerry had no choice but to persuade Grace. “This is a public place. Don’t go too far.”
“I admire what you said. Are you still a man?”
“You!”
