Chapter 219 Do You Deserve to Be My Opponent? 

“Maura, drink it. What are you waiting for?” A man reminded 

her. 

Maura hurriedly picked up her wine glass and chatted with the people around her with a smile on her face, but her eyes kept glancing in the direction of Huston knowingly. 

Huston narrowed his eyes and snorted. He pulled back his chair and said, “I’m going to the washroom.” 

After that, he turned around and walked out, not entering the washroom of the private room. 

A wisp of bright light flashed in Maura’s eyes, and she unconsciously tightened her grip on the wine glass. The opportunity had finally come! 

After walking out of the private room, Huston made a phone call to Evelyn. He held a cigarette in one hand and held the phone in the other. Under the warm yellow light in the corridor, the man’s cold face finally revealed a trace of warmth. 

“Hello?” After a few seconds, the woman’s soft voice came out. 

The coldness in Huston’s eyes completely dissipated. “Have you eaten yet?” 

“Not yet. I just came back from the orphanage. I couldn’t help staying a little longer when I saw those poor children.” On the 

other side, Evelyn was half-lying on the sofa with the phone in 

her hand and giggling. “What about you?” 

“I’m engaging in a social activity.” 

“Then hurry up and go back. I’ll wait for you…” 

Huston took a deep drag on his cigarette before exhaling. He couldn’t wait to interrupt her, “I miss you so much.” 

He had never missed someone so much, causing him to be so distracted. What Marcellus said was right. He was completely a workaholic. But ever since he was with Evelyn, he always wanted to go home and deal with everything as soon as possible to accompany her. 

Evelyn’s heart skipped a beat and she replied in a low voice, “I missed you too.” 

Even if they hadn’t seen each other for only one day, she 

missed him very very very much. 

They chatted for a while, talking about some trivial things, but they felt so warm and happy when they listened to each other. 

The cigarette between his fingers almost burned out. He 

turned around and put it out in the trash can. Out of the 

corner of his eye, he saw a swaying and graceful figure. It was 

Maura. 

Huston’s gaze sharpened. “Stay at home and wait for me. I’ll 

be back tomorrow night.” 

Evelyn was slightly stunned. “Are you busy with something?” 

“Yes, I’ll tell you tonight. Bye.” 

“OK.” 

The next second after hanging up the phone, Maura stood in front of him. She adjusted her expression slightly and pretended to be relaxed and familiar as she greeted him. “Hello, President Lloyd, long time no see.” 

Huston didn’t even look straight at her. His gaze was indifferent as he glanced over without saying a word. 

Maura looked at the man’s unfriendly expression and felt scared in her heart. This man’s aura was too strong, especially when he was in a bad mood. A single look from him could make her speechless. 

Only in the face of Evelyn could he show his human emotions.
