Many people held hands in front of the bright bonfire and formed a circle. Grace found a place to stand, and Evelyn followed. Unfortunately, there were too many people, so the two of them were separated and there were a few people between them. 

“Grace, Grace…” Evelyn called out to her. However, the surrounding environment was too lively, and Grace had gone crazy playing, so she couldn’t hear her at all

Bert looked down at the little woman in front of him. She was drunk and slightly tipsy. Her little face was ruddy, and her voice was nasal. She was wearing a V–neck dress, with dark blue and white skin. Her black and smooth hair fluttered in the wind, which was very eye–catching. 

In the crowd, he almost saw her at a glance. 

Hearing her angry question, the man curled his lips slightly. “It was indeed an accident.” 

He didn’t expect to meet her here. He just came over to hold her hand when he saw her standing there. As for the reason, he was not very clear. He just wanted to get close to her. 

“Nonsense!” Evelyn didn’t believe it at all. “Country Z isn’t so big. How could it be so coincidental that you met me twice at the same time and place?”

Bert shrugged. “It’s incredible indeed, but this is the truth. Besides, why should I follow you?” 

“You!” Evelyn was at a loss for words. She just wanted to get rid of him immediately, and her face couldn’t help darkening. “No matter what you think, don’t follow me from now on, and don’t say hello to me.” 

Bert sneered, “Miss Shelton saved my life. How could I pretend not to know you?” 

Evelyn was already annoyed and had drunk a lot of wine. She was so angry that she couldn’t help but out of her temper with him. “If I had known that you would pester me like this, I wouldn’t have saved you at all!” 

The smile in the man’s eyes disappeared in an instant, and his long and narrow eyes returned to their previous coldness, which made people feel cold at once. “Ha.” 

He chuckled and then immediately released the big palm that was holding her. “Unfortunately, there are no ifs in this world.”
