Chapter 266 You’re My Girlfriend
Flora and Evelyn were stunned by his sudden words.
After standing still for a few seconds, Flora came to her senses.
and said, “It’s not time for work yet. Mr. Lloyd, please go
ahead.”
“Okay.” After saying that, Huston pulled her out of the office. When they reached the door, he suddenly thought of something and turned back. “By the way, although I’m not a boss who can’t distinguish public from private affairs, she’s my girlfriend. I hope you can take care of her.”
He made it clear that he was not dissatisfied with Flora but
just told the truth. Although his tone had a large part of partiality, it did not disgust people.
It was better to say it out loud than do it secretly.
Besides, there was a hint of joking in his words.
Flora didn’t take it seriously. “Mr. Lloyd, don’t worry. I won’t
make things difficult for her at work, and don’t dare to do it.”
Evelyn looked at the conversation between the two, feeling completely petrified throughout. Who could tell her why
Huston would appear here and why he would say these things to her supervisor…
Huston led her out of the office. It was not until they entered the president’s office that Evelyn came back to her senses. Standing at the door, she looked at the man sitting on the sofa and stammered, “You, just now…”
“What?” He picked up the cup of water and took a sip, his expression unchanged.
However, Evelyn couldn’t stay calm. “What did you say to my supervisor just now?”
“Didn’t you hear that?”
“I heard it!” Evelyn walked up to him, breaking down. “I mean, how can you say that? What if she misunderstood?”
“What misunderstanding? You’re my girlfriend, after all.” Huston’s expression made it seem as if no one could do anything to him, causing her to be speechless.
Without giving her a chance to daydream, Huston picked up the intercom phone on the desk and called his secretary, “Ask the cafeteria to bring two meals here. What dishes? It doesn’t
matter. Just bring something sweet and sour.”
After that, he hung up the phone, loosened his tie, sat on the
sofa, and patted his long legs. “Why are you standing there?
Come here.”
Evelyn was speechless and felt embarrassed. She called out his name helplessly and coquettishly, “Huston…”
“I’m here.”
“What on earth are you trying to do?” Evelyn was genuinely afraid that Flora would have an opinion of her. Previously, Eva had biases against her. Having a fair and just supervisor was difficult. She didn’t want to leave a bad impression.
Seeing that she was anxious, Huston sighed silently. He got
up and walked over to pull her into his arms. “I said it, not you. Why are you so nervous?”
Evelyn looked up at him without saying a word.
Huston raised his hand and rubbed her head. “Well, it’s okay.
What are you afraid of with me around? There’s not enough
time. You can eat in the canteen first, and I’ll take you to
