Chapter 301 It’s Time to Meet Her
Sensing his suspicion, Mia lowered her eyes and glanced around. Suddenly, her feet gave way, and she seemingly unintentionally fell into Brad’s arms, saying, “Ah…”
“What’s wrong? Are you all right?” Brad’s thoughts were suddenly interrupted, and he looked nervously at the woman in his arms.
Mia felt disgusted when he touched her skin through her clothes, but she didn’t immediately break free from his arms. Instead, she leaned against his hard body and said, “I’m a little dizzy. Why don’t you carry me up?”
Worried about her physical condition, Brad did not hesitate. He bent down and picked up the woman in his arms. However, as he walked, their bodies inevitably rubbed against each other, causing him to lose focus.
Although Mia was currently unwell and her body had not fully recovered, one could still see that she was a beautiful woman. Despite being very thin, her skin was remarkably fair. Brad couldn’t help but recall an incident where she appeared in front of him in her pajamas, with just two buttons undone at the collar, enough to ignite one’s imagination.
Thinking of this, Brad unconsciously tightened his grip on her leg. Mia turned pale when his thumb touched the skin on her leg, but she had to pretend she knew nothing.
Mia opened the cabinet and took out her phone. Before dialing, she looked at the man beside her and said, “You can leave now.”
“Are you okay with being alone?”
So what if I’m not okay? Would I let you accompany me?
Mia sneered in her heart. He had no self-awareness whatsoever.
If it weren’t for the fact that he was still useful to her, she wouldn’t even look at him.
“Mia?” Seeing that Mia did not speak, Brad called out to her worriedly.
Mia came to her senses and forced a weak smile. “I’m fine. Maybe I haven’t rested well recently. Don’t worry. I’ll call you if I need anything.”
“Okay, I’ll wait outside the room. Call me at any time.”
“Well, you should go.”
Seeing Brad walk out of the bedroom step by step and close the door with a click, Mia removed all her disguises and dialed Maura’s number with a cold and ugly expression.
The phone rang a few times and was picked up. The person on the other end of the line said excitedly, “Hello? You’ve finally
contacted me…”
