Huston remained silent. One hand supported the crystal glass on the table, while the other naturally rested on his leg. Even sitting outdoors, his posture exuded an elegant demeanor akin to that of a nobleman. The tenderness in his eyes spoke volumes, conveying everything without the need for words.
It was certain that he must have carefully considered before using the diamond ring to express his feelings.
Matt’s words were shocking. “When are you going to get married?”
Huston looked at him with amusement. “There’s no rush. Not
the best time yet.”
Although he had already made up his mind about Evelyn, marriage was not just a matter between two people. His grandparents have strong prejudices against Evelyn, so he would have to invest some effort in changing their views.
In the restroom, after taking care of her personal needs,
Evelyn stood in front of the sink to wash her hands. Halfway through, she suddenly thought about the ring on her hand,
fearing it would get wet and dirty. Sh

Mabel looked at her and felt that she was cute. “The diamond

Lloyd is so nice to you.”
Such a proud man was willing to lower his head and do all this for her. It was not only rare but also enviable to others. Many women desired to be with him, yet he chose to bestow all his goodness upon her alone.
Feeling a little shy by her words, Evelyn casually found another topic to talk about. “Have you been busy in the hospital recently?”
Speaking of work, Mabel was full of bitterness. “It’s okay to be busy, but the main problem is…”
She lowered her voice, leaned closer, and said, “Doctor Lane has been a little moody recently, which made me panic.”
Kevin?
“Really?” Evelyn could somewhat believe it when it came to Huston, but she couldn’t believe it when it came to Kevin.
In her heart, among all the good friends around Huston, only Kevin could be considered a relatively warm–hearted person.
“Ah, you don’t know. He often picks on my mistakes at work.
He’ll find something to nitpick about even if there aren’t any. I don’t know why he seems to have a problem with me.” Mabel had a helpless expression, feeling mentally exhausted from being constantly scrutinized.
Evelyn was a little confused. “I think Doctor Lane likes you a
lot.”
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have brought Mabel to their
