Chapter 351 Relying on Her Understanding to Hurt Her
Kevin looked at Huston without any unusual emotions, but Kevin could sense the complicated feelings that were
intertwining.
They hadn’t expected Mia to come back. They had thought that her health would be fine, but they didn’t expect such a thing to happen.
This caused Kevin to have a very strange feeling in his heart.
He couldn’t explain it, nor was he able to confirm it because it
was truly too absurd. Kevin would rather believe that all of this was a variable than act intentionally.
“I’ll think about it. That’s all for now.” With that, Huston left the
meeting room.
Kevin let out a deep sigh and ended the video call.
The medical team stayed in the villa that night so that Kevin would have an operation tomorrow. They had made an appointment three months in advance. He had to rush back to the hospital to read the medical report.
Kevin wanted to say goodbye to him before leaving, but he didn’t expect that he couldn’t find him after walking all over the villa. He called, but no one answered. He was in a hurry to leave, so he asked Brad to pass on the message.
Unexpectedly, as soon as Kevin walked out of the villa, she
saw a cold figure standing by the railing at the door. Kevin couldn’t see his expression clearly in the dark, but Kevin could see the scattered flames on his fingertips.
This caused Kevin to stop moving and walk towards him.
“Why aren’t you in the room? It’s so cold outside.” It was
already December, and Huston was standing there. His
fingers were red. “You’ve just been discharged from the hospital. Don’t take health to heart. If you catch a cold and have a fever later, Evelyn will be worried again.”
Huston didn’t say anything and only took a deep drag on his cigarette. His nearly 1.9-meter-tall shoulders were slightly
bent as if there was a rock on his shoulders that couldn’t be
seen with the eye.
Kevin let out a long sigh. “You don’t know how to tell Evelyn, do
you?”
Since Doctor George had already said so, if she did not take any action, it would be equivalent to gambling with the life of Mia. If anything happened to her, Huston would never be able
“She heard it today, but she didn’t take the initiative to mention it.” Evelyn had heard what Mia had said in the sterile room today.
Huston thought that not mentioning it was already Evelyn’s biggest concession, but now he was persuading her to accept it. Why?
Even Huston felt that it went too far.
“Why don’t I tell her?” This was the only way Kevin could ease the situation.
Huston smiled briefly. “It doesn’t matter. Why don’t I just tell her directly?”
