Chapter 366 Do You Have a Boyfriend?
“Huston!” Evelyn called out to him in a coquettish tone that
she didn’t even know. “You’re almost done.”
“No, now that Mia is moving in and Sadie is here, I can’t find a
chance to be intimate with you.”
Evelyn almost spats it out and gloated, “You asked for it. Who are you blaming?”
“Are you very happy?” Huston pinched her thigh. “It’s no use being happy. You have to comfort me during the day!”
The two bickered in the office for a while until it was almost time for work. Only then did Huston let go of her? Evelyn walked towards the door of the office. Huston wanted to get up and take her to the door, but unexpectedly, she staggered as soon as she stood up.
Huston put his hand on the table and called her thoughtfully, “Evelyn, have you gained weight recently?”
Evelyn stopped at the door, turned around, and looked at him
in confusion. “What?”
Huston pointed to his leg and said, “I’m numb now!”
Evelyn bit her lip. “I’m not fat. It’s just that it’s been too long!”
“It’s okay. It’s good to be a little fatter. It feels good.” Before Huston could finish his words, the little woman standing in front of him had already opened the door and rushed out. She was so strong, as if there was a monster chasing after her.
Seeing her disappear from his sight, Huston turned around and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window of the office, looking at the traffic on the ground as usual.
Shouldn’t he reflect on himself? He had been acting like a hooligan and bullying people recently…
When Evelyn rushed back to the office, her colleagues hadn’t come back yet. Only Ada was sitting behind the office and eating snacks. Hearing the sound, she quickly put away the snacks in her hand.
When Ada looked up and saw that it was Evelyn, she
immediately said, “You scared me to death. I thought it was Ms. Atkins…”
“What are you doing? Are you a thief? Why are you so guilty?” Evelyn patted Ada on the shoulder, took a piece of potato chips from Ada’s box, and put it in her mouth.
“I’m not a thief. It’s not good to eat in the office. I’m afraid of being scolded.” Ada bit the potato chips. “Where did you go? I didn’t see you.”
“I went upstairs.” Evelyn pointed upstairs and didn’t hide it from her. Anyway, she knew it now, so it would be pretentious to hide it from her.
“Why are you back so early? Aren’t you usually the last to be
on duty?” It was necessary for her to have a cup of coffee after dinner. How could Ada sit here and eat snacks in advance today?
Ada paused for a moment, and her expression became a little unnatural. “I have something to do today. I have something to do.”
Ada had never lied. Even Evelyn could see that there was something fishy about her expression and secretive behavior.
Evelyn smelled something unusual. “You don’t have a boyfriend, do you?”
“Ahem, ahem.” Ada choked on her saliva and quickly waved her hand. “Don’t talk nonsense. Where can I find a boyfriend?”
Evelyn suddenly realized something and said, “Oh, that’s not right. I remember that you don’t like snacks very much. It
doesn’t seem like your style to bring snacks directly to the company Today.”
As Evelyn spoke, she observed and snatched the snacks from
